Be careful when jumping this I managed to snap my chassis in two from just jumping off a curb running in packed soil and gravel is said fine even in the manual I’ve since upgraded the dampers and the drive train with the aluminium ones and I’ve self screwed in sheet aluminium sawed into shape of the chassis on the outside I’ve also made walls like you said you’d do to minimise dirt getting in and seeing that you’re also going to do it I’m glad I had it’s all worked great it’s a really good build and an excellent car

Haha thanks, looks like I was lucky then, since this film I've also gone ahead with mods and upgrades like the shocks and wheel arches and it going great, just dont take it to the beach 😦🤣

Got my kit in the mail a couple of days ago, but about an hour after ordering I was like "oh yeah tamiya likes plastic bushings" so now I got a full set of bearings coming in the mail at some point. Not putting this together and running brushless without bearings. Made that mistake with an HPI E-10 back in the day

@@CrossfireStudios I recommend superglue gel. It takes a few seconds to set, so you can make sure the tire is properly "balanced" on the rim.

Hello, I believe this car is at least water resistant which most RC cars are these days, but I haven't driven this one much to test that. But I would fully submerge the car in water, the manufacturer should specify if its waterproof or resistant. And if the electronics do fail you could always swap it out for some set up with is waterproof 😁👌

Why would I lose asseleration on my first run after 5 min of run time this is a tt01 suburu Mexico IV got turning left an right but no forward and backwards very first run also 🤦

Yes, indeed it is, it was a Kit which came with everything but the Controller and receiver. Its pretty goot for the price tbh. Definitely would get more

I dont think you can get this body shell separately from the tt02. It might be on ebay second hand if anyone is selling one, but its difficult to say exactly. And I think you can make it fit that chassis if you make the holes for the body posts, also it depends on the dimensions of the chassis

It's pretty zippy. I just built one with a 4000kv motor powered by a 2s lipo. I didn't mod anything else and I can barely keep it planted at full throttle. That's not saying much I guess, because it's a light car with a small footprint. But it's as fast, if not faster than I need it to be for its size, ability and purpose. I'd guess 20 - 25mph on my setup.

Atm I using a cheap spare Ebay 3kg servo just to get the build going and running properly, but at some point I'll be swaping over and running a Etronix servo

ok, 2.500 quid for 88,000km - something's probably not right there. I got my 07Forester for 6k€ a while ago, with 145,000 on the clock. but hey, as they say 'one day... the day will come...' :D
