For the latest video I have installed some upgrades to my Tamiya TT02.
Parts used:
54769 - Hard Coated Aluminum Pinion Gear - Hop-up
50355 - 18T 19T Pinion Gear - Standard
51584 - Motol Autech GT-R body parts set
53792 - Universal Shafts x2
54477 - Gearbox Joint for Universal Shafts x2
Ebay Stone Guards 3d Printed
Paint - Tamiya PS-23 - Gun Metal
Tamiya PS-5 - Black
Waterproof 3650 3500KV Brushless Motor with 60A ESC Combo Set

I just ordered my first kit : ) This is the one I ordered. TAM58625a glad to see your body work. Great video! I wasn't sure how to do it. I just ordered an hr ago from Horizon Hobby. I think they will be ok. I had to wean myself from Amazon. They treat me like a step child.

@@ShockwaveTheLogicalTamiya body set #1584. My rear seems to sit a little forward in the wheel wells. Have to check that I have all the control arms correct for the 257mm wheel base

Uhmm how is going to a 40 euro brushless combo a upgrade if only the motor that came off is a 60 euro sensored motor. And way more precise

Those plastic covers for the webbing are cool, but I found it limited the servo arm when steering left.

I have the same kit..although I did mine in black with no stickers. That's gotta be the best looking tt02 I've seen. Great job!

Just ordered my first kit as well… did you use anything special to set your decals? Soapy water?… anything like that… if not, you did an outstanding job brother!!

Hey man, love your videos, I ordered the same motor and esc except mine is 2200kv, I got the highspeed gear set and yeah racing mount, which pinion should I get? going to be used in a rally car so wont be trying to break any speed records, just go with the hard coated? or what would you recommend?

I would just try a hard coated one to start off with maybe the same size as the kit pinion 👍🏼

I've built four TT-02 cars so far (you know because you just keep ending up with almost spare parts enough to build another and another... 😂) and my first build was a kit Autech Motul R35 ! Good choice btw! Anyway i have a TrackStar 13.5t, 9.5t and 7.5t. In my third build (affectionately dubbed "3Rd Da Turd" since was made of all spare parts.😆) I'm using a TrackStar Turbo 80a ESC w/ the 13.5t. It moves well on 2s.. and on 3s its just mean. I wanted to remove the 80a Turbo and use the kit included TBLE-02S since its a correct turn motor and sensored is required for that ESC and the ESC is just sitting there doing nothing! Grrrr! That way I can move the Turbo 80a to the 5th build waiting! I was wondering how you found that 13.5t & ESC combo to perform? On the TrackStar 80a Turbo the 13.5t is fantastic, surprisingly so. Do you think the TBLE-02S will let me down much? I read it produces only 30amp in brushed mode and 60amp in brushless. But absolutely NO 3S capability! Thats ok, and i have a LiPo alarm so no sweat there, but wanted to hear what you think , I will be using it onroad only, no drift, just a leisure basher for friends to use really. P.s. i have that exact model Surpass 60a esc from 3 years ago from Amazon. Its been on an F540-4370kv in my original belt drive Optima and on a F540-3930kv in my other original Optima with chain drive. Both needed custom wheelie bars added! I've had that 60a in a 1/8 Vaterra Glamis Fear on a Spektrum 3652-3300kv and it loved it, been a rock-solid, budget, performance machine; even ran it 3s (obeying the directions of course) and it's still kicking in a Mega Senton turned Brushless on a 3660-H.P.I. FLUX 4000kv using 8.4NiMh! ESC loves it! Been wet, been dirty, but it's still pumping the juice!

TBLE-02S is actually pretty punchy on a 10.5T in a rally car, just give it a cooling fan if you're worried, and if it burns out then you have a perfect excuse for number 6 🤔

Thanks 👍🏼 they were both off ebay! The wheels came from China and the tyre decals somewhere in the UK

Sehr schön. Wie bekommst du es hin dass die Karosserie so schön tief sitzt? Bei mir sind es ca 2 cm zwischen karosserie und Reifen 😅

I burnt 3 of those on 3s 2s there fine but they can not handle 3s they did fly but then a huge smoke shows

It was 4 coats of paint of gun metal and 3 coats for the black parts 👍🏼

@curtisprice5678 Was thinking the same thing, as they caught my eyes right away. Probably just some $12 e b a y specials. Nothing specials just a nice style.
