Oh the memories! I went over to a friend's house in 1986 and and was amazed by his Wild One with a Futaba Magnum Jr. radio. It was my introduction to 1/10 scale r/c and got me into a hobby that lasted for the next 8 or 9 years!

Hi there Paul, looking like the WildOne Blockhead is certainly a looker. It’s funny you should mention the ESC, I’ve not had much luck with the Banggood Brushless ESC & Motor. I purchased the 4730kv F540 style one and it was terribly ‘coggy’. I’ve just ordered a HobbyWing 10BL60 ESC (although it say sensored, it can handle sensorless motors too) I’m hoping that will cure the ‘cogging’. If not, at least I’ll have a decent ESC, I’ll have to source a decent motor. I’ll be interested in how your Blockhead performs. Take care and best wishes 😊😁😉

Yerhhh John I bought a few banggood ones and wont be buying them again. I bought the Ezrun 3300Kv for the Monster Beetle and took the Banggood one out, It was awful.

Looks really good Paul, I’ve gotten used to seeing you use Hobbywing in most of your Tamiya’s. The Wild One looks like it has plenty of power, hope you do a running video also. 👍

awesome job Paul as usual,can i ask you? i see you use that carlube grease in most off your cars over the supplied tamiya grease.have you ever had any issues with that grease doing any damage to the gear plastics?
@FullOnRC
@FullOnRC 7 ай бұрын
No non whatsoever. I have seen a few people use it, I tend to pack my gearboxes with it so it keeps muck away from the internal gears. Worked out good so far.

Hey Paul, have fallen at the first hurdle, step 5 G1washer, where is it as there is no reference to it at all in the manual other than in this step, cheers Paul
@FullOnRC

Hi I'm looking at the online manual and it has not reference. Step 5 is building the front Shocks yes?
@rustychevy7035
@rustychevy7035 Жыл бұрын
@@FullOnRC yes it's the small washer that sits on top of the bumper between the carbon fibre plate and under the front suspension bar, there's no reference to what size, metal or plastic, I've been building tamiya models for 40 years and this is the first time that a manual doesn't doesn't tell you what it is, cheers Paul
@FullOnRC
@FullOnRC Жыл бұрын
@@rustychevy7035 Right I know what you mean now. It is in there I believe. If not, I may have used a spare out my spares box. I cannot fully remember TBH. Sorry I cannot be more help. It's been a while since I built mine.

@@FullOnRC cheers Paul, can't really see what it looks like in the blockhead motors build but the normal wild one build looks like you've used a red "O" ring
@FullOnRC
@FullOnRC Жыл бұрын
@@rustychevy7035 Well spotted. Yerhh on the original I used an orange O-ring. But on the Blockhead I used a 2mm thick plastic washers which is chrome so must be from the kit. I would say the 2mm washer is the best option to eliminate any flex on that front end section.
