The Kyosho Turbo Scorpion Vs. Tamiya Wild One RC Rally.
We take these two similar class buggies to find a champ. But which has the best racing chops?
Three stages -The fastest overall time over the three stages .....wins!
For anyone who cares i’ve added a league table to keep track of results .
Points awarded thus :
1st place - 9pts
2nd place - 4pts
3rd place - 1pt ( if applicable)
Please note - These races are by no means definitive.
Both are running in Tamiya Silver cans and can achieve a current top speed of 18mph
Both running on 7.2V nimh 3300 mah batteries.

Hey Dom, I think this shows how awesome those modern releases of the Kyosho buggies are! It looked so much more composed on the track and blew the Wildone away! Great series pal 🙌🏻

Great fun, Dom! Owning both of these I had a feeling who would win - plastic vs alloy chassis... but if you take the prices into account the Wild One did good! Cool race-off! 😎👌👍

Very cool Dom.... You don't get much more retro looking than those two! Am I the only one who thinks that these kind of cars make the modern buggies look so ugly?? 🤔 Both done very well mate, but the Kyosho definitely had the edge, and looked more composed doing it's thing! 👍👍 👍

yeah u can’t beat retro looking rc cars which is why i suspect tamiya and losi and so many others are releasing modern takes on them . i do like the modern look but it will never replace 😊👍

Hiya Dom. Good to compare these two as they are fairly similar. The Turbo Scorpion has better suspension and handling. I think that the Wild One tyres have better grip in certain situations so it could win a different challenge. Nice one mate 😁👍

Wild one was surprisingly quick looking for a stock silver can. Crazy how you can instantly see the difference in suspension handling between the two. Great video 👍

The TS had a bit more speed and turning that gave t the advantage although the WO kept up very well. Pretty close overall! Nice one Dom!

Nice one today! I was not really sure who would win at first, then it became apparent. It seems like the Kyosho has a little more race spec in the design.. Cheers

Yes, the Turbo Scorp is better is many ways, on paper, and on the track. But the Wild One is so much ... cooler.

I like Tamiya but on pretty much every model the suspension needs upgrading the friction shock are no good for me if Tamiya kits cane with better shocks and bearing it would be ok to pay a few extra bucks.

Great comparison. After all that I'll still be getting the tamiya wild on because.....well.....it's the tamiya wild one. Love kyosho. But love tamiya a little bit more.
