Tammany Hall was the corrupt private organization that controlled New York City's Democratic Party for well over a century. They were also the only voice speaking for the rights of Irish and Catholic Immigrants. In this discussion we look at both sides of this powerful institution.
This is an edited version of the live show which aired on January 30th.

Except for the many times he keeps walking all over her and disrupting the rhythm. Not to mention some of their conclusions are questionable st best. There is a difference between history and facts.

I just watched a video on Victorian era gangs just before this. The dead rabbits were actually part of another gang (I can't remember which) in New York. At one point 2 guys were fighting for control over. The dead rabbits were of a different mind set than the first gang, so they split from them. At one point someone threw a dead rabbit into the room. They decided that was their new name.

It actually makes sense to have a safer and better immigration policy and a secure border. That isn’t apathetic toward immigrants but it sure gets played like it does. Good video though enjoyed the information.

Wait, so you mean there is a draft in the 1860s and then another one in the 1960s? I love how history is so cyclical.

Ok it the other gang was the Bowery Boys. Also the dead rabbit thrown into the room was slang for a person who starts fights. So the Dead Rabbits were once part of the Bowery Boys. No wonder they hated each other so.

For more on this, I heartily recommend Herbert Asbury’s 1928 book “The Gangs of New York”. It’s in the public domain, so you should be able to find it free on line. Martin Scorsese only used a small portion of the book for his 2002 film.

I can always do without the talking heads format and just have videos and/or stills of the subject instead with the narrators voice over, audio only. I don't get much from the images of him, her, or them. I know this format isn't exactly what's meant by "talking heads" but I don't know what the correct term is. ("Two-person discussion" style?)

I think you missed the part about Tweed being a politician, working deals for kickbacks on government projects. Trump was a commercial property developer.
