The God who created the universe, who created you, who sent His son Jesus to die on a cross for you and rose again from the grave, that same amazing God loves you and wants to take care of you. I was a sculptor, also with oven baked clays, of course my sculps were slightly larger at 1/6 scale, mostly Marvel/DC. It took me a week to create one-of-a-kind art pieces. I tried to sell but couldn't find the audience willing to pay for my time. I progressed into cake decorating with modeling chocolate and have killed it in that area. Sometimes you have to tweak your talent to meet the needs of your audience. Thank you for showing me it could be done......

Are you kidding me! one of the most profound Q&A's if ever encountered. So many golden nuggets to get from. 1) being original & not worry about trends 2) getting rid of old so called "friends" 3) embracing fear...Last but not least...you were being productive while filming. Sister you rock! : )
@jessicathompson14565 ай бұрын
I, as a watcher, cannot stand trends so I don’t bother w them in any of my work. I don’t have a YT channel or anything, so Indont have to compete that way. But makes me proud of Tammy because she doesn’t feel the need to get sucked into that garbage. So much of it ruins the fun and enjoyment and contentment and purpose of creation and sharing.

I loved the vid, but be careful everyone. The "learn as you go" route can land you in a lot of hot water if you're not someone who keeps track of every single purchase/expense/sale, and even if your state has regulations against certain things. A lot of times you have to register your business name with your state or file certain forms to allow you to sell in person or online (and yes, selling in person vs online are two separate things with different forms). Please do your research before opening up your own personal finances to liability and the possibility of problems with the IRS when tax season is upon you and you have no clue what you're doing. This lady has a whole agency to help her so that might be why she brushed over it as a non-issue, but please please do the research in terms of legality and taxes because it only takes one irate customer to bankrupt you. Goodness forbid you sell a small item without any warnings, a kid chokes on it, and now you're open to being sued and are responsible for the harm caused. Call your state and local tax offices and ask questions if you can't find the answers you're looking for online!

I had the same thought. I have a small business and live in Germany. Without research, I would have a lot of legal problems. I also have to have a packaging license just to send out orders. Also, as a business, I am not allowed to use every trendy sound on Instagram as well. There was quite a lot of research I had to do. But it pays off. Now I can make art without worrying about any legal things since I took care of it in the beginning.

tips: -start while you have stability, it takes time to build a brand or build up your quality and doing so when you are still in school or still working a corporate job means you have stability. any income earned from this period it just a bonus. -if your work is part of your passion (like art) it can quickly turn into burnout, try to do something in line with your work for fun, like make a clay sculpture from leftovers as a challenge in your free time. DON’T sell it. you need a clear boundary and this will set it for you. ❤

I think she also has an income breakdown video where she explains from how many sources her income comes from, apart from selling her clay figures. It is really inspiring because it helped me start my own business. I was like, this brand that seeks worked so hard to make and keep makes ME want to buy from her so I should focus on making my own strong brand
@strawberryfox88196 ай бұрын
Well, she sells those clay friends at an average of 50 euros, I'm not sure if she charges shipping. Dividing 13k through 50 makes about 260, so around that many people had to buy from her shop in a month. Given that she ships worldwide and has an audience of 200k, that number is small in comparison. So for someone of her following size, 200-300 a month is doable.

I stumbled upon this video because I have been looking to further my art career. Thank You so much for this video. I was so happy to hear that you also have used The Artists Way to help you build confidence with your art. I have many self doubts about myself and my art, and watching your video is giving me the courage to keep going. Thank You again!

Hi, Sorry to say but your business is not art but content creation. You have a follow-up of 220K people at whom you can talk for free. I say this because there are people on YT thinking they have a successful business or successful book sale but are not, they are successful content creators. In other words, if nobody knows about your arty products, you won't sell even a single piece. also 13K on sales are not monthly sales. It looks a bit misleading. I am not a hater, I just think is not good make other people as if they are failing. From my point of view, if you can not be employed by a company you. had failed. (which will include most KZfaqrs) That's my opinion. Thanks x

Sorry, but after reading this I can confirm this is a hater comment. “If you you can’t get employed you failed.” She is a business owner while ur a employee who can get laid off I’m sorry but you have failed.

i know this isnt the only thing you do, just like the rest of those "how to make 200,000 k usd a month " utubers, its not a simple as you said in your video, be realistic please, this kind of income is unrealistic for an honest work, either you're doing something scammy or ur parents are rich lol.

Maybe it is a trendy product she made. And she's just talking about 1 month. If you're looking for youtube videos for income ideas to be lazy and make bank get real. Just wish her luck🎉

Thanks for this. I'm literally in the process right now of trying to get my pottery shop off the ground and it's so nerve wracking. Seeing artists like you do so well is so inspiring! Your advice is sooo appreciated!
