I remember a MNF game early in the 1980 season when the Bucs were hosting the Bears( (I think). A DB named Mark Cotney clinched the win with a pick in the end zone.

Yep. I was poor at the time and had to be up in the cheap seats - but that was the loudest I've ever heard that place. It was nuts the entire game.

That was such a momentum killer back then. I wonder how the season would´ve unfolded if the Bucs just closed out that game.

bowlchamps37 that messed up the whole attitude of that defense. The swagger and confidence with which they played with was lost. That led to blown leads against Carolina twice, New Orleans,It came back briefly in 2005, but it wasn’t there to stay. Didn’t helped that Sapp and Lynch, the two attitude enforcers, left after that season.
