I used to live in that area.. It was so beautiful that even on my worst day I still couldn't believe how beautiful it was .

Omg...it made me so nostalgic. I lived in Tampa for 2 years. Used to go to the Columbia restaurant all the time - at the St. Pete Pier. That sangria is the best. I live that area and miss it a lot.

Great Video, I was born and raised in Ybor, even went to school there, Its sad to look at it these days, in the 60's it was the place for all to gather, Both sets of my grandparents rolled cigars for a living in Ybor, until the "machines" game along and hand rolling was too slow, then Urban Renewal came by bought up houses just to tear them down, and we lost both houses where my grandparents lived. I have the pictures though to keep the memory alive. I still get a warm nostalgic feeling when ever i am in that area.

I am born and raised in the tampa bay area. I grew up going to all of these areas. They all have stories and sentimental values to me. It's so weird binge watching your videos and seeing you go to these places.

WOW! Robert, I lived in Florida for about 40 yrs but never traveled on the west coast-sure I knew the east coast and up and down the center of the state but not there...this is one of the times when I wish I could kick myself for never going up and down the west coast...thank you for sharing this wonderful adventure..hugs to you and Illy

First left off the bridge and you have camping at Fort DeSoto Park. The most beautiful park in America.

I recently found your channel and have been LOVING it! I like to support Florida KZfaqrs, and your content is top notch. And how excited I was to find that you were coming to the Bay area!!! :D I'm a lifelong Tampa resident (and native!) and thought it was great that you came over to Ybor City (my neighborhood!) and saw the sights. Sadly, some of the businesses have closed and the area has struggled a bit, but I am hopeful for a resurgence in the future! Ulele and the Waterworks Park are newer additions. Side note: The Ybor Chickens are protected and have free roam of the area. Right now, in the "quarantine" of 2020, the chickens are loving the reduced traffic and are running wild. I hope our locals treated you well, and I hope that you come back soon!

Very nostalgic, I grew up in St Pete in the 50s and 60s. Used to fish at John's Pass when there was not allot there. Good place to grow up.

I spent two hours everyday in that water for 5 days. Awesome Beach. We got close to a Pelican and he charged us. Seagulls were crazy there. Lots of memories. Sunset WOW and WOW !

Oh I enjoyed watching this So much! Tampa bay is my home...I transplanted to Kentucky for my first grandchild...but I'm so homesick for Florida! I'm coming back soon! Really good photography and narration...thank you!

We will be in Tampa for our first ever snowbird winter from Canada from October 2023 to end of March 2024. If they have an RV show in January, we will come over and check it out for sure and hope to meet you there! So many amazing spots you visited in that area! We are getting excited to come.down already!

I lived in Tampa for 4 years and moved to the midwest a few years ago. It's nice seeing the city again from your perspective. It's a fun town to visit but super expensive to actually live there in the city limits. Also as a kid I remember us driving over the old Skyway bridge a few weeks after that bad ship accident. It was beyond creepy seeing all the way down to the water where a driving lane should have been with temp guard rails.

Me and my dad used to bike to that koa all the time and stop at the little convenient store for ice cream. I worked at that oyster bar restaurant for about 2 weeks when I was 20 and then quit.

Hi Robert, maybe I can offer a little insight on Ybor City. It has a busy nightlife. However, ladies don't usually go unaccompanied. Midnight is about cutoff time as it is surrounded by a high crime neighborhood. Which is probably why alot of businesses closed there. It's alot of fun going with a group for dinner and drinks. You might look up the crime there to get a better understanding. Love your videos 👍

You called my old neighborhood sketchy, lol. For Roser Park Sketchy is just the tip. My neighbor was gunned by police and died in my front yard because he was a drug dealer of some notoriety. This was back in '94. I was born and raised in Pinellas County. BTW, St. John's pass is where I had one of my jobs in high school. I was a shucker at an oyster bar. Also, you drove by my old house. Interesting to see that is blue now.

I have been traveling many States and several Countries past 24 yrs and we been to a lot of same places, restaurants, parks, etc... Your videos take me back to sooo many memories and help me reminisce so much. You either do very good research BEFORE going to next place ...or...you are the luckiest man to accidentally keep finding so many good places, restaurants, and parks. Keep up the great work!
