Small Clarification 25:41 - I said, if your line of sight grazes the edge of a wall, you have no line of sight. This is true, but only if that’s the best angle you can get on your target. If you can draw another line to your target, you still have a line of sight.

I’m chiming in too, as a first time player of Tanares… great how to video! Clear, to the point, but in-depth also… an obvious indication of good writing and extensive editing. Also loved the shots, closeups, animations + sounds, chapters, and examples. A how-to on how-to videos. Subbed and will be referring to this often after I get my Kickstarter delivered. Much thanks! Looking forward to this game…

If you have one of the older versions, there’s the odd campaign rule that has been changed for this newer video. But even still this video should get you most of the way there. Part two will hopefully be released next week assuming I get approval.

Best gameplay tutorial video out there. I’ve watched a couple, and they were kind of making me hesitant in backing the game. I wish this video existed a couple of weeks ago, it would have likely made some people’s decisions to back a little easier.

Hey mate, loved the video! As always, your b roll footage is so helpful and fun. And I’m a big fan of the way you highlighted little lines of text! I also just wanted to mention one thing that made me go double check the rule book, in that when a villain dies *every* hero gains a mama cube

@@BoardGameCoffee on page 28 the rulebook says “Each hero gains 1 cube when a villain dies” though I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s written differently elsewhere as well 😬

Interesting. The rulebook is being rewritten, so I don’t know if that’s one of the new rules because the video was approved by the designer. I guess we’ll have to wait and see for the final print.

Well done and extremely helpful. This has been sitting unplayed since it arrived. I've tried to read the rulebook on again off again, so nothing sticks with me too well. I did even add the Legendary box to the latest Kickstarter because I too want it "dimensional" that was funny.

Amazing videos! As always! Just a question: when you say at 25:45 “if an ability reads anywhere or on the grid you can target a figure anywhere on the board”… does it mean also at max 8 range? (Since this is the default range…) Thanks!!!

One question : when you atack a Vilain and you are the only hero the Vilain has line of sight at you ( your companions are neatly hiden behind the wall for expample) AND you are not a favourite enemy of this Vilain, comes this Vilain around the corner looking for his favourite Target ? Or ataks Here which was nearest what he can see or which ataked him ??? ... ??? ... please ??? Can any one help me ???

If you can only pick one hero of the same grouping, why are there two double sided cards? For example there are 2 double sided hero cards cards with brute on one side and shooter on the other. I took the instructions to mean you cannot play as the same hero class like two brutes, etc

Hello, I have a question. How does Healing exactly work? When i chose an ally, do i need to roll the d20 against the defense of the ally? So allies with higher def are harder to heal?

All right, I’ll be honest with you. I made that first video a while ago and I don’t remember. But I did send a message to the designer and this is what he said…. “Usually you must hit an attack on the enemy. Then, it deals damage and the attack's effect is to heal an ally (or yourself)”

20:34 is pretty confusing actually... I would read this as "when YOU (Nyx) attack and an ally is within 3 of YOU (Nyx), then YOU (Nyx) deal +5 dmg on hit...

There has been some requested additions. And they’ve been really busy on their end so it’s taking them a bit of time to approve the script for part two. I have most of the video done already so once I do hear back, it shouldn’t be much longer. Although this weekend is Canadian Thanksgiving, so that will slow things down a bit.

Hopefully sometime next week. I wasn’t able to complete the video due to some missing assets that were still being created by the publisher. Now that I have those assets, I’ve implemented them into the video which I will be sending out for approval tomorrow.

It’s on hold until I finish my current project. There was some unfortunate timing overlaps that occurred. So once I finish up what I’m currently working on. Tenaris is my next priority.

Great vid but please work on the audio. Sounds very distant or as if your in a cave.

I agree 100%. The audio needs work. It’s a part the struggle with the most. But what made this one extra difficult was the city working outside my house for an entire week with giant machines that were causing so much background noise that I had to run multiple filters to remove it.

Agreed. I believe it’s written somewhere that all the audio messed up and what you hear here, is the best somebody with no audio experience can do to fix it. Sorry again for the audio.
