What kind of a brake setup is that? :) First I thought the free ones were the stabilo lines and wondered the cause of preference over pulley system you recommend for single wings. Then I realized that you use them at the take off. Now I wonder the cause of preference for that brake setup :)

It is an instructional tandem, there are double brake lines. so the passenger can steer the tandem and also the instructor without the need to give the handles to one another in case of the instructor need to correct something quickly.
