A baby dies for every minute we spend point fighting.

God, point sparring is so worthless. It literally teaches you how to get your ass kicked.

Travis Johnson Continuous is far more realistic.

No-one does point sparring for practicality, they do it for sport

I agree it's a waste of time

*At least the fighter on the right was throwing some kick that could actually do damage. But as a rule, if you go to any Tang Soo Do or Tae Kwon Do practitioner and they are teaching point sparring, walk the fuck out of the dojo. Not all of them believe in this bullshit because they realize it is useless in a real fight. The old masters understand this, many of them, and they are there to actually teach you to make your body into a weapon. Not this bullshit. Michael Jai White is a great example of this. He is a martial arts master and an actor but GUESS WHAT Michael actually knows how to fight and is a completely legit fighter. This dude was teaching Kimbo Slice new techniques when they were filming Blood and Bone.*

It's a combat sport not a way to fight.

If this is how black belts fight, i dont want to take up Tang So Do
@RazgrizStraitz4 жыл бұрын
only the fake ass tournament focused shills do this bullshit. Look up Michael Jai White. THat's a real Tang So Do fighter that actually uses the proper techniques. Despite him being an actor in movies he is completely legit.

A half decent boxer would light them up. Hands down fighting is just horrible.

I prefer thai boxing though, it's even better

@@AvatarRoku999 Also good. Because they train with some decent contact.

@@georgekondylis6723 Yeah man I train it and we spar every day for atleast 20 mins. Too bad my knuckle is broken and can't train rn :( but even just western boxing beats karate because of the high guard and head movement.

Not much in the way of footwork and angles. Or feints. But pretty good point sparring overall.
