Tangle Teezer for thick and curly hair? Or Manetain Detangler Brush?
Both the brushes are used for gentle detangling and settling well defined thick clumps on curly and wavy hair. But which one wins?

Your levels of commitment Deepika, to go through days of not washing to make an impactful video!!!! Kudos!! I get the point of this video as it was requested. though do you suggest it is best to detangle hair when it is washed and conditioned than dry detangle it? Thank you so much, Deepika
@desicurly
@desicurly 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Deepti! I HIGHLY recommend detangling hair BEFORE shampoo. Basically start washing on detangled hair. Shampooing is easy, hair is cleaner with less amount of shampoo, hair doesnt tangle more, and shampoo on tangled hair makes everything so worse for my hair! Its becomes a nest that’s too hard to detangle! Need tons of conditioner to Detangle that nest and even more time and work. Try detangling before and see the difference ❤️ kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bdOClNqW1rvIo5c.html

Heyy so I have both the brushes the way I use it is manetain for detangling I always do it on oiled hair and tangle teezer for styling. With tangle teezer I’ve noticed better clump formation while applying tension to the hair and kind of pulling it rather than just brushing through gives amazing clumps Loved the definition manetain brush gave your hair !
@desicurly
@desicurly 3 жыл бұрын
Surely need to try tangle Teezer again..may be it will work better. I also pull down my hair with comb/brush..I also hold the section with other hand so that it remains tight and brush glides absolutely in contact with the hair strands. I noticed that tangle Teezer gives thinner clumps..did you notice that too on your hair?

Hi my daughter has a curly/wavy hair. I’m planning to by the detangling brush for her. She’s still 2 years but I want to save her curls and instill a proper routine. So once you detangled the wet hair, don’t you dry it? As in using the towel and let it air dry or a use a hair dryer? And if you have any suggestions, please let me know. Thank you.
@desicurly

Hi! This is how I usually detangle my hair using conditioner before shampoo kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bdOClNqW1rvIo5c.html the most gentle way to do it. I would recommend it for kids too. After shampoo and conditioning I detangle in case there were knots formed during shampoo and after that I coat my hair with some moisturising hair products. And then dry it. I air dry or dry it this way for quick drying instagram.com/desicurly/reel/CWdmmZCIVDX/? If you want to watch the whole routine here is the video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mOCZdrBex96zkXU.html

I usually apply leave in and then use the wide tooth comb followed by gel , scrunch and plop. So you think I should use comb after applying gel?
@desicurly
@desicurly 2 жыл бұрын
So why do we use comb/brush after using stylers? To make uniform thick clumps. Right? If you dont disturb clumps while applying gel or after then no need. I rake in my both stylers that’s why I use comb/brush once done applying them. Thus depends how you like styling your hair. You can always try and see how it goes for YOUR hair ❤️

Yes I definitely will work on that topic❤️ curly bangs have always been in trend..they look very cute (the ones that fall on forehead) but they need a lot of work and working from home can make it difficult to work with those. Hi Shahanas, yes I know Malayalis wash everyday. Though its not a great habit. We have bonds in our hair and hydrogen bonds are temporary ones that break and make up again everytime it touches water. Its not great to break and make them everyday. Plus hair cuticles swell up when in contact with water. Again not a thing to do everyday. And cowash in general should not be used 4-5 times in a row but 1-2 times cowash then shampoo. Plus cowash won’t take away all the oil and unclean hair in the long run will lead to buildup. If possible try reducing the frequency to may be once in two days?

@desicurly 3 жыл бұрын
So I am assuming you dont put any stylers after shampoo conditioner right? So when you are styling next day you will need to thoroughly rinse your hair..in my case I need to condition and detangle too because hair starts feeling dry and tangle next day. So its like normal styling like I would anyway do after shampoo conditioner. The reason why praying hands is preferred for refreshing is because hair is already layered with products from washday and are in clumps already..you are the refreshing the definition and not doing in from scratch..if you rake in on refresh day ypu will need tons of water to clumps hair again..refreshing shouldnt be this long. If you are not styling on washday then next day you are basically just styling not refreshing

I have seen so many brushes but I always feel I will go back to my wooden wide toothed comb. 😂😂 Also, the tangle teezer literally gives ASMR vibes. Also, I had a doubt which I usually think about. Are all these brushes sustainable? I'm halfway through the video, so if you've spoken about it, I'm sorry to make you repeat it. But yeah, I understand we will not throw it away in one use but whenever I feel like buying, I keep thinking ki shayad I'm not helping the environment. Literally 0 shade to anyone, just a thought that I keep thinking about.
@desicurly
@desicurly 3 жыл бұрын
Same :P I go back to the wooden wide tooth comb that I have been using since 1.5 years..I still use that only :P Coming to sustainability- It’s not as simple as we think it is usually. Not buying to many experimental combs or brushes is the best practice. Just buy one and continue with that. Such videos help choosing okay this is for me or not. Secondly, If brush is broken send it for recycling instead of dustbin. Plastic is best used when reused and recycled..basically not going into dumpster. So buying good quality one and just one will make sure it lasts way longer.. Wooden combs are also not as sustainable as they are demonstrated..after all trees are being cut down to get that wood plus they break easily as compared to plastic sturdy combs and brushes. So again person would buy more. And you are doing it right by not buying too many brushes or combs

Rubber bands? Those are too difficult to remove😫 i mostly have to cut them off. Would suggest avoid them..use satin ones..it slides on hair
