There are 2 useful Russian words that most foreigners should know (judging by my Mainer husband). One is «давай». Very widely used. It means “come on” and Russians use it all the time. So instead of bravo, you can use давай (davaj) and it act an encouraging phrase. There is also молодец (molodets). It is a noun and is used to describe someone doing a great job. The T-72B3 weighs 46.5t (102,515 lb) and was registered at 50.33 mph in the Tank Biathlon (not necessarily this exact one, I found this on the internet). Each tank changes 3 crews during each race. To answer your question, the crew members aren't interchangeable, they each play their own roles.

As l served our driver also made a 180° drift with our tank like this tank in video, but our drive kept it more controlled. Its a risky manoeuvre on soft surfaces because the high risk to lose the track. But to drift like that is a fun experience on top of a 40-50 ton colossus.

One thing you mentioned, which I didn't see in comments is the "Sasha" used by the commentator. The tank commander's name is Aleksandr Demyanov. Russia has a complicated name system, but one of the parts of it are the stock nicknames. Same way you'd call someone called Thomas Tom, we have Sasha as a short version of Aleksandr. So basically, for each Russian name, they have an appropriate nickname.

I think it was one of the first tank biathlons. Now the format is somewhat different - they shoot the main gun without stopping. Crew change takes place in the middle of the run and there are four tanks of different countries participating in every run together. The weight of T 72 is 46 tons and the maximum speed achieved during those competitions was 84 km per hour (Russian tank). With exception of China all the rest use Russian tanks. I think last year there where 13 participating countries. Also last year for the first time there were some women crews on T 80s. They were not part of biathlon though. Thanks for your reaction.

the tank biathlon is part of the international army games. most countries get invited. a host of them show up. but not for all competitions. its also a bit of a misunderstanding that western countries do not participate. they often do, but only in certain events. even Israel regularly competes in the games, and has won the medic event several times. and there are a whole host of competitions in the army games. pretty much anything you can imagine. there are games where jets attack ground targets. you have the "clear skies" event. where they shoot surface to air missiles at flares. you obviously have the tank biathlon. where they drive an obstacle course. but also do gunnery competitions. with tanks. and then there is a whole host of infantry stuff, from medical competitions to cooking. fitness etc etc. and every country gets the choice of either entering and using their own tanks/vehicles/equipment. or they will be assigned a Russian standard tank/vehicle/equipment. which in this case is indeed the T-72B3. its actually quite cool to watch parts of the competition live on youtube. and there are always a few channels out there live streaming parts of the games. i would recommend the Chinese broadcast of the clear sky event. but those are 4-5 hour long livestream video's so that would not make for a very good reaction video, cool video to watch nonetheless though.

I may be wrong, but I guess this is T-80, not T-72B3. Chain tracks and gas-turbine engine say that this is T-80. Also T72 has exhaust hole on the right side as T-80s is in the back.
