Күн бұрынThe best tank mates for the OB Peacock Cichlid are fish with similar personality traits. People find it very hard to figure out fish to keep with aggressive OB cichlids. The best tank mate is going to be more African cichlids. The trick with African cichlids is to put so many of them in an aquarium that the aggression gets spread out so much between each other.
There’s also a handful of catfish from the African lakes that you can use in your aquarium as a take mate. The Synodontis Catfish is a great choice to keep as a bottom feeder with OB peacock cichlids.

I was hoping for names of specific cichlids that are compatible. What does OB stand for?

OB stands for Orange Blotch. This is a hybrid fish or cross between two or more species to get the blotch pattern. That said not all OBs these days have orange and can be a variety of colors with the black blotches through out.
