Being a tanker in HLL is a fun game of nobody on your team having satchels or launchers and everyone on the enemy team does. And you get blamed for not being able to push enemy armor.

My tank gameplay goes something like this: - Spawn - Drive the tank 3 solid minutes - Die halfway to the front because of an explosive that came out of nowhere

sums up hell let loose pretty well. theres a tank behind us while chat is screaming no one is on defense

theres nothing better than being a gunner and the second you shoot the driver turns and you end up missing

I long for my games to be like these instead of no comms and boring crew and squad. the no mic people really bring down the comms and squad play at times

My greatest pet peeve is a tank commander who thinks that tanks in HLL are like RC cars that can just turn on a dime or immediately respond to controls

My friends and i like to play a 3 man tank crew every once in a while. I gotta admit, the rock-paper-scissors nature of lighter tanks not being able to damage tanks larger then themselves makes it really frustrating. I cant tell you how many games my commander can only spawn mediums while the enemy tank crews are rolling around in indestructible heavies that we cant damage

I literally just had a moment. I charged up with a light tank and my gunner said he was good, asked if he saw the enemy, he said he didn’t and we got immediately one-tapped. If I ever get killed like that, I’m gonna thank them and call them a Norman.

My best memory of being a tank was with a crew that had full mics and good communication almost every tank we came across i destroyed with ease we ended up taking down atleast 7 tanks throughout the whole game with 4 on our first run with a standard M4 sherman I dont know where my crew is now but i hope they are doing well

If you're playing as tank commander please, just get in the spotter's scope. Keep your head on a swivel at all times. And give callouts in degrees please please please. Your turret gunner will thank you. Plus you get to say cool things like "ENEMY ARMOR BEARING 289! BY THE TREELINE!" while making the target and your gunner will know exactly where to turn his turret or, if you have a good driver, he'll quickly come about so the turret doesn't waste time traversing. Stay calm, but speak loudly. If you're the driver and the gunner please do exactly as the tank commander says. If you're the driver please have the mechanic loadout so you can stop to repair the tank as needed while the turret and spotter keep an eye out. It should always be the driver the hops out because under repair the tank won't be moving anyway. Doing all this has kept me alive for entire matches, despite heavy prolonged fighting. Listen to your commander, communicate short and precise, and work together. You'll do just fine.

Good to know that no matter what, the tank crew will always be an uncoordinated mess

i think you can only really function as a tank crew if the driver and gunner really listen to the commander and just do what he says. i had so many of my own tanks destroyed because the driver and gunner decided to act on their own. There's a reason why it's called tank commander. You're the one who decides on the primary target, who tells the driver to drive, stop and turn and so on.

I maxed out tanking in this game and it would have been painful if I didnt have friends to grind with me all the way up.

This is definitely one of the tank crews of all time just a tip when driving pick a direction and stick with it so the gunner can fire on the move and when playing commander always keep your head on a swivel. Also love the Wir Sind Des Geyers Schwarzer Haufen

When the t34 exploded I didn’t expect it to be that brutal god damn that sent shivers down my spine

well you guys need to train your commander ;-) I would order the driver to shift to gear 1 to slow down so the gunner easily could hit the T34. and when you had the tank behind you he did mostly the right thing but. 1: call out tank behind us : action gunner insure AP is loaded 2: wrong things the commander did not tell driver or gunner to which direction they should turn left or right ?. try to stay near freindly infantry to avoid nasty suprised ;-)

i have this onne moment playing as german in saint mere where me and my freind hop in tiger tank (beofre panther heavy patch) push midle cap and 3 platoon follow our push one of the guy blast panzerlied as our tank rain hell on the enemy and tanking shell , MG and rocket.. man couldnt find any epic moment like that ever since didnt regret buying this game at all
