I've got the Canon TS9521C and it is awesome. Quality of printing is top notch and while the ink is pricey, I've only replaced colors once and I do a fair amount of printing. I would highly recommend.

I am desperately searching for a good printer. I'm on some cricut groups and everyone says get an epson ecotank because its so affordable from the machine itself to the cost of ink and the fact you don't need to replace the ink too often, it lasts a long time even with regular colour printing. People rave about the ecotanks all the time. But I saw someone compare two printouts for both an epson L150 and a canon g540 and the canon colours actually looked more vibrant and true to the actual colour. The colour green on the epson printed out grey. I am also looking for affordable but its still a waste of money to buy something cheaper and get a product that isn't up to standard. I also sense that many people can't see the differences so I don't think I can trust the recommendations. So conflicted and wish we did in store testing of printers so we can see what we're getting! If anyone can adbise between the epson and canon brands I would be so happy!

Years ago, I bought a Canon Pixma from Walmart for $30. I'm still using it. I even had it on top of my freezer for a while and it came crashing down... and it still worked after that. It's definitely older and I imagine a new printer would offer better quality, just because it has newer technology. I have an HP at work that prints beautifully and before that, I had an Epson that did oversized prints, but to be honest, it didn't work all that well. The low price point and oversized printing is very enticing to me.

You can get an Eco tank for that price, I have the 2800 and I’m switching from regular to sublimation ink every month

I have both. I have a Canon megatank inkjet, and I have a Canon color laser printer. I use the Canon color laser the most.

I love my Epson inkjet printer and have found in the past the canon range inks are not always good and very expensive in the UK and I have the Epson with the ink refills on subscription on the canon pixma refill compatibles in the uk do not always work and have had problem that is why I moved from Canon Pixma printers.

I just purchased the Epson Ecotank ET 2850 and so far the quality is awful, not vibrant at all compared to my other printer (HP ENVY) I'm extremely disappointed thinking I'd save money by using tank instead of cartridge. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but maybe I should just get a canon?

This printer is great until it has a paper jam error, there is no reset even if there is nothing in there that is jammed! I tried printing a thick sticker paper in the back and then I got an error after the stickers printed. Nothing jammed! Printer according to Canon Tech support is DEAD!!!!!!! Cannot reset it

I find it irritating that the entire cricut community can’t make a recommendation for a good printer for card stock paper. I recently purchased a canon TS700? Series and I’m unable to pull cardstock from the rear tray!

Is that printer good for sublimation?
