Alot of the Old Country artists, the people my father listened to in the 60s and 70s were singing about themselves. J Cash, G Jones, L Lynne T Wynette, M Haggard. They were the youth of the 30s & 40s. Hard times. Tanyas father drove her all over the country, uprooted themselves and would not give up. That is what brought all of it to the stage. I have admired and respected her since Delta Dawn made her a star. Thanks Tanya!

Every relationship may experience some provocation at times in a long life together . Most partners don’t beat up or knock teeth outta the other partner!! Most also don’t have substantial addictions issues between both partners as campbell and Tucker had back then. Most folk would remove themselves if too heated .. move away from situation to cool.. leave room or house go be with friends and calm… have to be nasty dark side or very outta control on D& A addicted etc to beat up & knock out two teeth!! No excuses .. provocation as excuse says lack of self control for whatever reason. The perpetrator is the one who lost self control Simple fact No “ buts” and attempts to justify also show lack of ownership of the act & poor values & highlights entitled thinking that allows one to choose violence to express disagreement dislike or if feeling ‘provoked’ . It’s entitled toxic intolerance and inability to regulate emotions & distorted thinking & values to physically excuse harm to another believing one had some right to physically touch or hurt another male female adult teen or child cos of feeling ‘provoked’.. law doesn’t accept it either!!

Takes time to admit your side of a bad relationship but doesn’t remove fact Campbell was complicit and he physically abused and assaulted and hurt her .. she was 22, half his age(44) and he was divorced from wife no 3 at that time which says a lot about him!! And he went thro 2 more wives after her!! He was addicted to coke and introduced her to it her! Domestic violencein a relationship whether escalated by drugs alcohol addictions provocations behaviours or whatever stress is still not acceptable or any excuse . If you hit or hurt anyone - man women or kid you are the perpetrator no excuses . You have to own that shame..
