Who is Lao Tzu?
Lao Tzu, an esteemed philosopher and the reputed author of the "Tao Te Ching," is often considered the father of Taoism. While many details of his life remain shrouded in mystery, it is believed he lived in ancient China around the 6th century BCE. His legacy is a work of such depth and simplicity that it continues to inspire seekers of truth across the globe.
What is the Tao Te Ching?
The "Tao Te Ching," or "The Book of the Way," is a cornerstone text of Taoist philosophy, composed of 81 short chapters that provide guidance on living in harmony with the natural world. Its verses elucidate the nature of the "Tao," or "The Way," a universal principle that underlies all existence. The Tao is the origin of all things, the ultimate reality that cannot be seen or grasped, yet it is present within and around all things.
The Universal Essence
This video invites viewers to ponder the essence that all major religions point to-whether it's called Tao, God, or another name. It's about recognizing the unity behind the apparent multiplicity, the singular source from which we originated and that maintains the balance of the universe. Lao Tzu teaches us that the Tao, much like the concept of God in Abrahamic faiths, is beyond our conceptual frameworks, yet we can align ourselves with its natural rhythm and thus live a life of peace and fulfillment.
Living in Harmony
Lao Tzu's verses remind us that while the Tao is beyond comprehension, it can be embodied through a life lived in harmony with its flow. This harmonious existence mirrors the Abrahamic teaching of submission to God's will, both paths leading to an understanding of our true nature and our place within the cosmos.
Wisdom of the Mystic
The video highlights how the wisdom of Lao Tzu transcends religious distinctions, touching on the shared mystic truth understood by the enlightened of each faith. This mystical insight reveals a common thread that points to the ineffable, the formless perfection that existed before the universe was born.
Quotes to Illuminate the Path
"The Tao cannot be perceived," Lao Tzu tells us, affirming its infinitesimal subtlety, yet he also assures us that "The Tao is always present within you." It's a concept that exists beyond our ordinary senses, but by embracing the Tao and accepting the world as it is, we align ourselves with the source of all serenity.
Conclusion
"The Words Tao and God Point To The Same Phenomenon - Meditations From Lao Tzu In The Tao Te Ching" is not just a compilation of quotes; it's an offering of guidance, a lantern for those navigating the journey back to their primal self. Join us as we delve into the verses of Lao Tzu, where every word is a step closer to the ultimate unity and the peaceful harmony that we all seek.
Peace and blessings be with all seekers from every spiritual walk in life. We are all brothers and sisters, and we should all strive to respect one another despite our differences, and should try hard to see the common source from which we all emerged.

When the Jesuits went to the middle kingdom they translated Tao as God - but as Lucretius pointed to - De rerum natura is closer in meaning.

I like it - I think that phrase you mentioned does a good job of encapsulating the idea of God in the Abrahamic sense as well in keeping with the scriptures. (I.e. Yahweh translates to “self existent one”)

I know you hardly believe that every religion is talking about Allah in different names. i wanna share if you look islamic perspective of Allah in sunnis the main stream they tell Allah is a conscious being who has his hands legs who has feelings emotions unlike us. He is above his 'Arsh the Qursi. And he is gonna take revenge and he takes revenge and he don't do unjust with us. most likely Allah in Islam is a persona i can say that. it is a Godly divine personality. on the contrary Skhism Hinduism Buddhism Daoism and may be there are more their perspective on One God is the Awareness within Us. If they speak of Allah they don't tell of a personality rather dropping my persona left awareness is the Truth and God and Allah what ever name you give. but it has no saying on its own law or any kind of judgment day or revenge mindset or just unjust nothing its just simple being that Only exist. Therefor friendly speaking if you are a believer as a Muslim main stream minded you can't say others are right too. But if You are seeing God like other religion see then you can't say you are accepting Islam. They both Contradict honestly. And you are on the path of making both perspective as One. Above all it is Only possible if you accept their perspective, If you accept muslim perspective you can't see them true. Try to be less bias on my comments it will help you. I have seen the both of perspective that's why i think this comment will help you from a middle ground of two sides. My only purpose is just Truth. No Ego, self image, Name, Fame or Money or anything. So don't get confused on me easily. Thank You.

Salam alaikum, hope all is well inshallah. Allah sent messengers to all nations, he would not leave some of us without guidance, this is the mercy of our Lord who is beyond our understanding, surpassing us in wisdom. “We already sent messengers before you. We have told you the stories of some of them, while others We have not. It was not for any messengers to bring a sign without Allahs permission. But when Allahs decree comes, judgement will be passed with fairness, and the people of falsehood will then be in loss.” Quran 40:78 I do not detect any danger in respecting the words of Lao Tzu as being divinely inspired, nor do I see any contradiction to the Quran in the Tao Te Ching. I respect and give ear to all people’s faith regardless of what religion they identify as if they love the Creator. How am I to know my faith is right or yours is wrong? I can only try to see what are these faiths pointing to - and they all point to God, our Originator. Not just those who call themselves Muslims are destined for paradise according to the wisdom of the Quran when it says - “Surely those who believe, and those who are Jews, and the Christians, and the Sabians, whoever believes in Allah and the last day, and does good, they shall have their reward from the Lord, and there is no fear for them, nor shall they grieve.” Quran 2:62 I accept Islam in the sense that I submit to our Creator, the One who sent guidance to all people through the prophets and messengers, the One whose Mercy outweighs His wrath, the One who is ineffable beyond comprehension and definition. His magnificence is indescribable and cannot be encapsulated by ideologies and dogmatism. His majesty is beyond borders and definitions. Religions are a boat that gets us to the other shore of understanding, once there why drag the boat along? Once you realize we are all brothers and sisters, you look past what team people are playing on and start seeing the one team, one family, all children of Adam. Peace be with you, may the Lord forgive me if I have made any mistakes, may the Lord grant us His wisdom and mercy and guide us to a straight path inshallah.
