As its semi auto its uses the auto clutch mechanism and is not engaging enough to allow the nueutral gear to be selected on the shifter fork & drum this can be solved by loosening the bolt in centre of right hand crankcase and adjusting the screw in/out until the clutch is engaging /disengaging properly and neutral can be easily selected have been building E22 style motors for over 10 years this is 100% the problem. Loosen the screw to the foot peddle clutch down or you maybe. Had the same problem. The foot clutch gear is easy to strip. Broke a bolt & not it’s only wanting to shift up instead of down so clearly had to mess around till it was perfect.

I had that same problem is on the carburetor u moved the idle screw and it wouldn't change to neutral

My rear tire was flat. I had the bike in my driveway that has a small hill going up and a level apron just big enough that is the length of the bike. I was expecting the tow truck so I wanted to pull it up out of the driveway for him. When I got to the level apron, I couldn’t get back into neutral. I was only in first gear, and could not get it back into neutral. I tried going forward a little more to let the clutch out, still couldn’t get it into neutral. I came to KZfaq to see what tips ppl might have. I saw this and decided to try by hand, and was able to get it into neutral just as the tow truck pulled up. I just bought this used (2002) but well maintained bike and only took it out 3 times before the flat but it shifted just fine. I don’t really know why the hand worked. It’s a heel toe shifter, I think I’m going to have to look at the linkage, but it was the strangest thing. Anyway, thanks for the tip.

Same problem but when I bought it it worked but after 2 days it started to do this, idk if it's because I filled the transmission tank with transmission oil, anyway that should have been better.

If you have this problem lower you idle screw down till the bike will sit there by itself and not roll forward

Did you ever figure it out? Have a 100cc Flywing same clone Honda XR but don’t shift into neutral when starting it goes from neutral (up) then through all 4 gears (down) and one more down and back into neutral weird goes in a circle

Mine would't go in neutral because i used to hold the brake and thats why.
