Taormina on Sicily island is a small city located in between the hills of the east coast of Sicily. Due to the mild climate, the beautiful landscape and many historic landmarks it is a popular tourist spot for Sicily. One of the cities highlights is the roman theater: Teatro Antico di Taormina. The city is also close to the active volcano Etna. If you are traveling on Sicily, I can highly recommend visiting Taormina, with its many historic buildings still intact it invites you to explore the city and spent the afternoon on the beach.
