A landmark concert of Hindustani Vocal Classical Music took place on 2nd October 2001- themed under the title of "Tapasya". Three of the then greatest living legends of Hindustani Vocal Classical Music, Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, Pandit C R Vyas and Pandit Jasraj gave a concert in one evening at Mumbai's Shanmukhanand Hall, presented by Pancham Nishad Creatives.
In this clip we present the highlights of each of their full concert performances - previously released both on Compact Discs and DVDs on the Navras Records Catalogue under the title of Tapasya (NRCD 0164/0165/0166 and NRDVD 007/008/009).

I was lucky enough to listen to pundit bhimsen Joshi and pundit jasraj in my college days while they were on concert tour in the US and they came to my city to give a concert. Ever since attending these two concerts, I have had the desire to learn Hindustani classical vocal (at that time I had learnt quite a bit of carnatic vocal and a little bit of Hindustani music also and I wanted to go more in detail and in depth into Hindustani classical vocal. It's because of the blessings of these two great musicians that I have been able to fulfill my desire of really learning Hindustani classical vocal in detail for many years now under a good guru 🙏🙏🙏...

कृपया इस दिशा में और आगे जाते हुए चार दिग्गजों को भी एक बार एक मंच पर आने की खोज करने की कृपा करें।जिसे मैंने बनारस में RIMPA कार्यक्रम के अन्तर्गत सुना देखा था। ये दिग्गज थे पं रविशंकरजी, उस्ताद अली अकबर खां साहब, उस्ताद अल्ला रक्खा ख़ां साहब और उस्ताद जाकिर भाई। यह कॉन्सर्ट करीब छः घण्टे का था और वर्ष १९८२-८३ का था। बहुत मेहरबानी होगी यदि आप थोड़ा अपने स्तर से देखें। बहुत बहुत धन्यवाद -- किशोर कुमार सिन्हा
