Same is the case with me. Our conversation started in a study group where we used to fight on every possible occasion then after some time suddenly i left the group. After 3,4 months he approached me to help him in his ppt and i said yes. We started sharing many things and secrets. I was so happy to have a friend like him as he was the only one with whom i can share my problems. But one day i noticed that there is something more than friendship from his side and i asked him directly. And he said yes he liked me and want to marry me. But i make it clear to him that I'm not ready for anything like that and he is just really good friend. He said ok but nothing is like before. I have to think twice before texting him. I can't share my problems with him the way i used to do. I really missed those old days.

I did the exact same mistake in my schooling days. I proposed my best friend. She said yes because she don't want to hurt me. Then at the last day of 10th std she said "I didn't wanted to hurt you so I said yes, but there is nothing from my side" And as usual I replied like "I hate you". I had a friend in my 8th grade. She was so funny and cute, we used to talk whole day, from early morning to late night. Then after a few months, I started having a crush on her and made the same epic mistake... I proposed her. Then... Well then I got blocked. After some days I talked to her and told to unblock me, which she did. We again started talking normally like nothing ever happened but my crush on her grew more and more because of that... So the stupid me proposed her once again... (And I again got blocked...) After some time she unblocked me by herself, and we started talking again and the same story repeated (I guess I proposed her 4-5 times and got blocked for equal number of times) After 8th I changed my school and we drifted apart... For years I used to miss her so bad... Then one fine day of my 11th grade, I approached her on social media. Then we again started talking and we became close again. This time I did not do the same old mistake again coz I realized the importance of friendship and it's limits. I realized that it's not necessary for the other person to feel the same way as you and to say yes. Two persons can be a lot more to each other while staying friends. I love her so much till date, and she knows that. Our friendship is now stronger than ever and I'm glad that I realized my mistake and got a person like her in my life.♥♥ ♥

There is nothing like "mutual love". Love is always one sided.
