32:50--36:50.. I don't think Busy Bee saw that coming, or he probably would not have kicked party-participation rhymes before Moe Dee got on...

M.C. Johnny Wa & Rayvon are part of M7 (Magnificent Seven). M7 was a group from 1978-1981. The group broke up because Johnny Wa and Rayvon got arrested and both went to prison. Johnny Wa and Rayvon were still releasing new music as late as 2018.

Kool Moe Dee's rhyme is a first in hip hop history. When rappers battled back then, they never attacked each other...they tried to rock the crowd...the louder the crowd was would be used to declare the winner of the battle. But Kool Moe Dee invented actual battle rap as we know it now. He called Busy Bee out by name...and completely obliterated Busy Bee...thus inventing modern battle rap. It devastated Busy Bee, he was actually pretty upset about it...he never seen any shit like that.

I find it ironic as hell that the was released in 1981, but yet the crooked music industry labels do some shady sh*t... in this case a portion of this video, there is a copyright notice for the Beastie Boys' "Drunken Praying Mantis Style (Instrumental) track. Which is pure bullish*t. Since the group formed in 1981 and was punk rock group. The copyright notice is for "Drunk Praying Mantis Style Instrumental was not released until 1992. How the f*ck is Capitol Records/Grand Royal going to claim a copyright for a song that wasn't even around in 1981....and the Beastie Boys sampled a sample of a sample from the 1981 Harlem World Christmas Contest? Rule #4080: "Record company people are shady". And I'll add my two cents... record company people are pieces of sh*t. Michael Diamond, John Berry, Kate Schellenbach and Jeremy Shatan formed a punk rock group in 1978 called the "Young Aborigines". By 1981, the group broke up because Shatan left NYC to head to college. At this point, Michael Diamond, Kate S. & John B. hooked up with Adam Yauch, and they formed a new punk rock group in 1981 called the "Beastie Boys". John Berry came up the name Beastie Boys. This first iteration of the group released two EPs, titled "Pollywog Stew" (which I have the cassette tape) and Cooky Puss (which is a weird mix of rap, electro hip hop & reggae based a prank call to an ice cream shop), which was a really successful track. In 1982 John Berry left the group and was replaced by Ad Rock. Kate stayed with the group until 1984. With John Berry and Kate Shellenbach gone, the group now consisted of Mike D., MCA, & Ad Rock. The group most people are familiar with. With Cooky Pus being a huge hit, Beastie Boys gave up punk rock and went full hip hop, signing with Def Jam and releasing their first single in 1994 titled "Rock Hard".
