Hi, please, do you know what the connector marked ETH is for? Is there any way to connect an Ethernet cable? I have several of these cameras on my 3D printers and if they could be connected by cable, it would solve a lot of my problems. Thanks man

How do you disable those 3 led's? I want to place it behind a window, point it outwards. The led's cause a glare at night. Only workaround is using it in daylight mode. I can try wrapping tape over the led's but that may cause it to get overheated.

Only yellow led can be turned off. 3 red led are for Infrared and they're not so bright

@@Live_Loud I removed the led panel, which solves the problem. Cam still works without it, but the mic is also included in the led panel, so no sound. So I drilled a hole into the 3 led's at the top, but the led's were still functional. So drilled even deeper into the led's, and now all 3 infrareds are disabled. Now functions perfectly as an outdoor camera, placed inside the house. I put back the led panel inside. This drilling-into-led solution I got from quora.

Can someone point where is the WIFI ANTENA in this board? I plan on extending it but I don't know where to solder.

Check for a text ANT1, it's close to ethernet connector. But it doesn't have sma connector so you may need to solder the antenna directly

Even mine died recently, it's just hangs with red led and infra red leds ON, if I tap and hold the rest button for a brief moment it's indicates of system reset but again it gets back to hanged state, I'm assuming one or more components has failed and system is unable to initialise sensor due to this failure.

Mine rn is having an issue earlier where the status light is red and after reseting it turn to Red and Green flashing idk how to fix but i don't also want to lose it because is just 2 months now is acting

Planned obsolescence is the only thing I can think of.

I agree it could be planned obsolescence, cos I couldn't use any of its core components for other purposes, the camera sensor was just bare sensor directly soldered on to the pcb, processor was from realtek with no usable debug points, IR sensores have a proprietary driver with its details etched off, so it was pretty much a scrap, I got new camera from qubo, hope it will last longer 🤞

Open black plastic cover first by some knife or screw driver then all stuff is easy

Shakes means? Subwoofer cone is moving without playing music? Rca cable ground issue might be there. Try to unplug the rca and check if it still moves.

I had 2 of these exact cameras which just stopped working. That is very weird. What are those PINS for (marked ETH on the board?) Could that be hacked for Ethernet support and use this camera on Ethernet 🤔?

Yes. Mine are not turning on either. Nothing - no lights or anything. So I guess its a Tapo C100 thing then 😕

@@ishmaelchibvuri yeah they engineered it so complex that even their service center cannot repair it and we're forced to buy new camera. I already brought 2 new CP PLUS cameras and they're pretty much the same at half price

Kindly Google it. They don't repair anything only replace the product if it's under warranty.

May i also ask did your C100 memory go unformat what I meant was when you check playback it said memory card not formated? because that happened to me earlier and the camera is 2 months and i was scared because i rely on this cctv so much as it if now it's the only security in the house currently
