I hv to start from 25k-35k which is totally disheartening considering if i was doing job since last 3 years, i would now ve earning not less than 60-70 k

Every Exam Has It's Requirements __ SSC CGL. Bank - Clerk, PO Railways. LIC - AAO, ADO. CHSL. Etc... Ye Exam Bhi Halwa Nahi Hai. Lakhs Are Competing There Also. 😕

I gave cse 22 but failed in prelims by good margin...was getting 80 in gs and 72 in csat...then I realized the luck factor involved in this exam...then I moved to SSC CGL...Gave CGL 22 and got selected in CAG...Now I will peacefully and sincerely prepare for CSE

I am no longer a UPSC aspirant. I gave my last attempt in 2020. I prepared from 2016 to 2020. I was lucky that I had no sudden emergencies in the house and I had a good base graduation degree. Even then, it took me a long time (almost 2 years) to have a proper career again. Here is what I have learnt -- 1. Graduation degree helps a lot in building a good career. Do not compromise with your graduation degree if you're still in college. Try to get the best education and understand your industry before coming to civils prep. 2. Always know that UPSC is unpredictable. Hence, whatever your graduation degree, you should know the names and contacts of recruiters for your particular industry. Usually, you can find all this in the last year of your college education. Google research can also help. Companies like Teamlease, Michael Page etc. are HR companies who get people jobs. You should know about them and how to apply. LinkedIn, naukri.com, monster.com are the best websites to start your job hunt. 3. KNOW HOW TO WRITE YOUR CV. This is such a basic skill that so many people lack. CV should be short, precise and formatted according to your industry. 4. Do not be afraid to start small. The first job you will get after your UPSC break will pay you a small, basic salary. The work environment may also be bad. But keep telling yourself that you will get past this. Give your best effort without dreaming of the grandness of being a 'sarkari afsar'. 5. Do not be too afraid. Prepare properly. All companies require good workers. If you work hard, you will do well. 6. PLEASE STOP THINKING ONLY UPSC MATTERS. I am honestly saying this, half the people are in depression because they think UPSC is some grand dream that will give them king like powers. At the end of the day, it is a job. If you work in your respective industry, you will probably earn more and live better than many of your UPSC counterparts. UPSC jobs are not the only ones that matter.

I am working professional. One of my friend preparing for upsc (even me). He asked money since he was not doing job. I gave him (small amount). I didn't ask him back. However in class WhatsApp app group, he discusses and asks my other friends about where invest money😂, which are good earning stocks 😂😂

I believe one should have UPSC planned only if they have a continuous financial source of Income/Financial Freedom. Otherwise these sorts of things will happen. One more thing, people can do is try learning some industry relevant skills while preparing for UPSC, as this will keep one job ready.

That's Why It's Said First Do Professional Degree Then Try For UPSC Otherwise U Are In Huge Risk If Don't Crack all stages and get Rank. BTech, MBBS, LLB, MBA,CA, CS, CMA, Media etc... - they are safe in comparison to BA, Bcom, Bsc. 😕

One of the good solution is IT sector, by grabbing a relevant skills like cloud computing, DevOps , Javascript etc through some good reputed institutes like Scaler academy or CDAC.

I knew about CSE since day1, i worked first on my plan B which was giving CGL. Got ASO in MEA. Now preparing for this exam. Back up plan is a must when giving this exam.
