Here we'll take a look at the exclusive, never meant to be sold in the US market, Tara TM-9 9mm pistol. We'll do some shooting, then hear what our staff has to say about it!

Very pleased with my purchase. The trigger is admittedly rough (long and heavy) but the pistol shoots better than I anticipated it would, especially once you get accustomed to the trigger pull. Over 100 rounds so far with no problems of any kind. Looking forward to my next range trip with it. Well worth the asking price.

I had absolutely no problem with the trigger, mine was a lot lighter than people describe. Both of them I got have shot with no problem (no stovepiping or jams of any sort). The only real issue I had was the stiff spring in both magazines and this was down more to my arthritis than a real problem with the gun. Just got an autoloader, so no more problem. In any case, so much better than other cheap guns (Hi-Point, I'm looking at you!).

I have 3 including one of the two tone guns. Plus a friend got one, have about 400 rounds through the 3, plus friend has over 100 through his, no problems. No jams or failures.

I bought one a few weeks back thats came with 4 mags cleaning kit and case i shot 450 rounds in one range trip just to see how it work using cheap umc Remington 9mm ran fine with no problems

Mine shoots fine and the ambi mag release works fine. Take down lever is tight now but it will get easier as it breaks in. The mags have some coating that makes them tacky but a shot of gun scrubber and wipe them off they are fine. Is it worth the money? I think it is.

was there any specific amo used or was it a mix of different cases and grains. I have one I never used and iam a new shooter never fired a gun Iam also a Canadian

Nice looking pistol, resembles a Glock 17, triggers can always be fixed and made better, but at that price though, its hard to pass it up, I wish I had $185 to pick one up!

You're editing the video between shots. I can only assume this is to hide the failure rate... not good, not ethical.

Could be to cut down on video time. Not everyone wants to watch 10 minutes of unneeded shooting.

@@thedoc8679 I did a review on it. Lousy trigger. Requires hotter ammo. No spare mags. I had 2 of them dumped the other one for 150

Dude even the review admits it need a "break in". Basically it jams constantly. What kind of Glock clone needs a break in period??

Well, it's not a Glock clone, that's for sure. I have the TM-9 and TM-9X. Neither jams. The TM-9 sat on the shelf a lot of years before coming to the US. Then due to weak and/or deformed springs, many got returned. Sadly, some tried to "fix" them by filing magazine edges and/or bending the springs. Now they are for sale cheap, used, and even damaged. If you have nose diving rounds on the TM-9 , replace the mag springs with S&W M&P OEM springs. If you have return to battery problems, replace the recoil rod/spring with Gen 3 Glock 17 OEM. If you want a slightly lighter trigger, put a gen 3 Glock striker spring in it. If you want different sights, the Sig 226 sighs fit. Other pistols use those Glock springs by the way, and no other Glock parts fit, it's not a Glock clone. The TM-9X has none of these problems but the same springs fit if they need replaced. The TM-9X is otherwise a redesign, so the mags, slides, barrels, slides, strikers, frames, and internal parts to not interchange with the TM-9X. The trigger is the same, but not the trigger bar or chassis inside the pistol or anything else for that matter. The sights are the same Sig 226.
