Hey everyone!
I’m Tara, formerly known as Beaver Vineyards. I’m a 29 year old, 5th generation farmer in Northern California. This channel is all about my journey back into farming and learning the ropes. I grow grain crops with my dad, I planted my very own vineyard in 2018, I'm a bit chicken obsessed, and NOW (as if I wasn't busy enough) I created, and host, Field Trips!

And then there was the sweet and yummy powdered sugar and chocolate versions. I have no idea how those were made. Anybody?

The Claas combine that my boss is running got those rollers and the set of "knifes" too. Here in Portugal the people who grow for serious the corn, they had changed headers to have this equipament. It chops the whole plant, and they do not need to pass with mulchers before prepare soil for next winter crop. It deal very nice even with some tall grass, and in Drip Irrigations is awesome because it cuts all, soo we can take the old drip net faster and better

Thanks for the positive review! We're glad you are happy with the kit. You won't see "higher yields" until your next year, after the confetti-like residue has decomposed and recycled those important nutrients back into the soil. We'd love to see some decomposition updates in the spring!

Is it really smarter to avoid a bit of exercise?? I LOVE doing little jobs like that the "hard" way because they're pretty easy, not exhausting, boring, or time-consuming, and they're the only exercise I get. (I'm too cheap and lazy to go to a gym.)

You can make some great snack using Rice Krispies and Cocoa Krispies! Is there no mushroom industry in Cali! On the east coast a lot of corn fodder is being bought by the mushroom barns for use as medium. OLF planted 200 acres of corn just get the fodder to sell. He hadn't done corn in nearly 10years because of deer pressure but now the gain in fodder sales way exceeds the lost of ears to the dear. sdh in CT

Great shot, wagon and 'bine dumping in truck trailer same time. The Calmer kit really chopped up that heavy thick San Joaquin river bottom land corn stalks. So dry, could hear the corn residue crunch walking across it. Beautiful field of corn, tall, thick, thick stalks, lots of stalks. Looks like much of MidWest got hammered by drought Hit your corn stubble in the late fall with one of these. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aLBydZib07K4kp8.html Broadcast dry fertilizer on top of stubble, then till in with the Salford 5200, mixes all with the soil for much better residue bacteria mold fungus breakdown with first fall heavy rains. Also aerates the soil/residue mix for max microbial action
