Known for her portrayal of Cookie Lyon on “Empire,” Golden Globe-winning actress Taraji P. Henson talks to TODAY’s Tamron Hall about “Hidden Figures,” the new fact-based film in which she plays a mathematician who was a key player in the early days of NASA’s space program. She says that due to “Empire,” “I can’t go to Target anymore. I really have no personal life. Cookie has taken fame to a new level.”

I cannot begin to imagine the obstacles these courages women would of had to endure during this time. Such an inspirational story. Such Remarkable women and a credit to their country.

I'm a big fan of hers. I do not watch "Empire". But I'm not surprised of her acting chops. I do love her on the show that she appeared in before "Empire". And that show was "Person Of Interest". The character of NYPD Detective Josslyn Carter is my favorite tv role that Taraji will ever played in my eyes. I can't hardly wait to see her, Octavia Spenser and Janelle Monae in "HIdden Figure" when it comes out in wider release on Jan. 13. Good luck with the movie, Miss Taraji !!!

Being cookie make us feel like we already know her, the real her Taraji P. Henson because looking at her right now in that interview is like she's no different person. She is and will be a true character.
