We needed a video from you about this foundation, so far I have Les Beiges and also the Ultra le teint Ultrawear and I love them both. Chanel formula is amazing and it makes my skin looks so flawless. I will really love to try this one

I'm glad to hear you're feeling better! I have been loving this foundation for my dry skin, it's lovely. No dry patches and it's been lasting me all day! I prefer a light and very natural foundation. It'll be interesting to see how it does in the summer though. I took forever deciding which shade to get, and I ended up get lucky with B10. It's a tiny bit too dark for me but I can use it since the foundation is pretty sheer, and it should look nice in the summer!

Great review Tara Lynn. You look radiant in the natural sunlight. It really turned out to be a great match. I’ve tried Chanel foundation (Healthy Glow) and there was not a match for darker skin tones such as myself so I will pass on this new foundation, with just the 4 shades available to us. I love Chanel makeup, perhaps one day they will get it right with an abundant of color choices for darker tones. And am I the only one that loves the smell of Chanel makeup when I open the packaging? LOL! So satisfying. Again, thanks for this amazing video and I’m so glad you have recovered from Covid. That put a huge smile on my face.😘

I'm happy to see this review from you! Also glad you are feeling better. I've got this in BD31, as well as in the Healthy Glow. I love them both...the color is good for my olive/warm skin, and it blends beautifully and makes my skin looks poreless. The Healthy Glow is the one where I only need to look good for a short time (like a few meetings), it's just too emollient and breaks into a lot of shine pretty quickly (although it looks gorgeous for a while before doing so). This No 1 is a nice combo of the Healthy Glow, and the Le Teint Ulta (which I found looked drying on my skin, although that one LASTED!). A nice compromise between the two. So far I'm extremely happy with the No 1both for the appearance and the wear time.

I have had acne my entire life Tara. Since 13 and still getting it everyday as I push 40. It's so frustrating so totally understand with being careful about products. I've definitely gotten good at understanding what products break me out over the years. Which is why I despise Sunscreen in foundation which doesn't do enough SPF anyway. That said the new Kosas foundation works beautifully for me. Glad you're back! 😊

I still just can’t get away from the Beauty Blender skin tint! I know you love that one too, I got it on your recommendation and I’ve never loved a foundation more. I’ve tried 2 of the new foundation releases, Kosas and the new CT, and did not enjoy either! Going to stick with what I know I love. Glad to see you back ❤️

Since you have both bottles, you could just pour about 1/3 of the 41 in a different container, leaving you 2/3 - fill back up with the 91 and shake - this would give 2/1 ration premixed in one bottle. The leftover 41 goes in the 91 bottle and you have a summer shade.

I agree Tara that the only negative is the shade match. As an average light-medium, I rarely have a hard time. For example I wear 4 neutral in the new CT. So I swatched in Ulta, two of which (BD20 and BD30) were too rosy and two of which (BD 21 and BD31) were yellow. Nothing in between. We all agreed that the BD31 matched me best as I lean golden warm, but it is still more yellow than I care for. Normally I don’t mind mixing shades at all, but at this price range… Um. 😐 I’m sure they will come out with more shades in the future. In the meantime, I’m on the fence about returning it. It is a great 12 hour formula and this is coming from someone who doesn’t like matte or long wear foundations. Only other downside is that I got an immediate headache from the rose scent that I could smell for the first few hours, but that’s just my lucky sensitivity. 😬 The finish is amazing with excellent coverage, minimizes pores and didn’t settle into my fine lines. It might be nice for special evenings when I can load up on bronzer and blush and I don’t want to worry about SPF causing flashback. It won’t be my everyday go-to though. I hope this helps someone. 🌸

good point about foundations breaking up after several hours. I have a couple i like but i notice by the end of the day they break up. I love trying new foundations but it’s hard to find ones that really hang on. i may try this one. i will likely go in store to shade match though since you pointed out the undertones.

It looks like I'm in the minority here! I thought it showed texture(and I don't have much) and it wore off quicker for me than my normal foundation. I got a good color match though. It looks beautiful when I first put it on. My problems start around the 4 hour mark.

Hi Tara, I have this one in B20, the color is a pretty good match. I love it. It’s beautiful. I like it over the shiseido synchro skin which I just finished. I also just got the new Charlotte Tilbury beautiful skin foundation and I love that one too. Between the Charlotte beautiful skin and the Chanel number one, I think for me the Chanel number one is the winner. I’m glad to have two new favorites though! I love your foundation reviews! It sucks that the color range isn’t great for everyone 🥴 Thank you for spending the money to bring us this review🙏🏼 glad you’re feeling better! 🥰

Oooohhhh. B60 looks perfect in undertone for me! I am pink/cool toned and grays match my skin so well. I'm glad you ordered that one as neutrals/warms make me look like an umpa lumpa 🤣

Ooh I love that grey undertone 😂 I’m very neutral olive so that grey looks amazing for me. I might buy that and mix it with my white Armani neo nude to lighten it because I bet the other lighter b shades aren’t that grey….

I was intrigued by this foundation but until this past weekend didn't think I'd find it locally. I knew Ulta had it but was actually told from a girl at a Chanel counter it was only available online? I was bummed bc I like to try first. But, I went into a bigger Ulta store & was elated to find the N1 collection. Happy too bc when I was able to swatch the foundation I found I was the same shade as I'd used in their Velvet foundation. I finally tried it today and was blown away. I'd recently purchased the new Dior forever glow & also love it but I loved the Chanel even more. To be fair tho, I wore a different primer. I had a sample of the Dior Dreamskin and used it for the first time with the Chanel. Idk if it was the foundation or the combo together but either way it was stunning. And, it was still flawless at the end of the day with NO touchup!

I too have a sensitive face. Went thru a period where moisturizer was a real issue. (I'm 58!) Lol. Glad to hear what you said about not being too heavy handed. As I said below, only just wore today for the first time but my application was quite light. Mainly bc the tiny bottle the foundation was in made it hard to get the foundation out. Lol. Had a little paddle attached to the lid. I honestly probably would have used more if I could have so looks like it turned out to be a good thing.

Hi Tara, I have BD41 in the Healthly Glow. I think I'll get BD 51 next time. The fragrance does do bother me. I will swatch the shade in BD 41 No 1 foundation. You look beautiful as always.

Great review Tara! I just picked this up to test out myself and can't wait! I also have to be superrr careful with foundations with my sensitive skin, but Chanel foundations seem to work out for me really well so far! I am a little worried about the oil in this, but hoping it won't break me out! SO happy to see you back on KZfaq and glad you are feeling better! :)

Hey! I am watching your review and realize OMG I bought that same shade. I run downstairs pick up foundation and look for the shade….Of course it’s BD41 🙃 I hadn’t even had a chance to try it. I put a little on hoping it matches and its literally Grey 😢 I am not buying another bottle at this price point. Hopefully I can pass it on because it’s not going to work for me. You look beautiful Tara!!! Thanks for the reviews. I have a suggestion, when I can’t find that perfect color of foundation I bought the drunk elephant bronzer drops. It does not change the consistency of your foundation at all. I love it. Then you don’t have to purchase so many shades. I have been using it for a long time especially when I have a winter shade, and summer hits. You can add as much as you want. I think it would work perfect for your. I’ve also used the Tarte sea hydroflex serum in a darker color as well. It works good too, but nothing beats the drunk elephant bronzer drops. I hope this helps. Love you to the moon, and back!!!!! You do so much for us, and you are so appreciated. 💞🦋 💗

I’m a new subscriber. I REALLY appreciate your thorough reviews of foundation. My holy grail Futurist Hydra isn’t working for me anymore as I’ve developed an allergy to SPF. I’ve spent way more than I am happy to admit trying new foundations to replace. I just purchased the Chanel Healthy Glow last night due to your and Michele’s reviews. I’m glad to hear you are feeling better. And now you have a better immunity against it! I’m immune compromised and I’ve gotten vaccinated three time but I’ve heard the latest one is not as bad as the other strains so I almost want to get it so I can have a better immunity against it in case we get a bad strain when fall/winter comes around again.

The difference between the 2 foundations,the healthy glow & the N°1 de Chanel is the healthy glow has a much stronger scent,I can hardly smell it in the N°1 & the healthy glow is more hydrating & more glowy on me whereas the N°1 is not drying at all but it's a much more matte foundation on me than the healthy glow..I like them both,I wear them both & I do think they r very similar,I've heard a lot of people say one was more hydrating than the other & in my opinion the healthy glow is much more hydrating on my dry skin & the N°1 is a lot more matte & has a very light scent whereas the healthy glow has a strong scent..but it seems2 greatly depend on each person's skin bc I've heard very differing opinions bc these 2 foundations have been compared 2 each other alot

I tried the Healthy Glow and couldn’t bear the fragrance smell but it was very hydrating on my combination skin with oily forehead and nose. I think both would work well on dry skin

I would say if you have really dry skin I think the Healthy Glow would work best, it's a little more Hydrating than the No 1. But the No 1 i would say can also work for Dry skin but I would personally recommend the Healthy Glow😁 P.S. if you're sensitive to fragrance , just know the healthy Glow does have a stronger scent😁 But it's non irritating ❤

I don't have the healthy glow, but I do have the nr 1. I find the fragrance STRONG! And it lingers for a while too. It's not a dealbreaker, but I would enjoy it more without fragrance. Thanks for the review, Tara.

I didn’t have a shade in No.1 either and I did In the other. I happen to watch a video of Someone that we usually were the exact same shades I ordered the shade that she had and it was my perfect match I feel strongly I barely made it into the Shade range for this one. I agree it is almost the same foundation if u have one u don’t need the other. I got to be honest I’m over Chanel and her switching up shades from her launch to launch why not release the same shades but moreover she don’t make shades for deeper skin tone like the bronzer deep to dark was totally left out..!!

Thanks for another excellent foundation review. Have you ever tried the Chanel Vita Lumiere Aqua? When I first started watching KZfaq videos, everyone was raving about that foundation but there were no shades other than very light ones. Now they have added a few but because I don't live in a country that sells Chanel makeup, I have to guess and purchase online. And reviews have died down, I guess the foundation has lost it's steam. But I'm dying to try it.

Most of the people are looking good with this foundation unless about the shade and undertone. My skin also looks good in this foundation and I'm lucky that I find my shade in B10 😁😁 Stay save and healthy. GBU.. 🙏🙏

Hi Tara, Thanks for the great review. Maybe you can dump out the product (into something sterile of course) and then mix the foundations and pour them back into the bottles. It might be a little messy and you may lose some product but at least then you could just grab and go next time you want to use it. I haven't used Chanel foundation in over 10 years but your review make me want to try it. Will you be reviewing the new MUFE foundation? I'm curious how the two compare.

I love this new foundation. To me, I have to powder my nose, My oils come thru fast wearing this & I DONT have oily skin. Go figure. I just touch up a little and move along. CHANEL is always great!

You should invest in color drops that change your foundation buy dark and light ones that way you don’t have to spend so much money getting the right shades. I have them from cover fx other brands sell them too and I have light and dark so if I order a foundation and it’s of on the color I can fix it pretty much anytime!

I just wanted 2say im alittle confused about this foundation,i jus received it about a week ago,ive been wearing the Chanel healthy glow & long wear foundation which i absolutely love,but the reason im confused is bc so many people said the N°1 de Chanel foundation that ur testing in this video was a really moisturizing glowy foundation, even more hydrating than the Chanel healthy glow foundation,but i wore it twice now once with a moisturizer underneath & 2day with a hydrating primer underneath & each time my face looked really matte like this wore on me like a matte foundation, verging on dry,it wasnt actually dry but it looked so matte on my skin that it was almost verging in dry,i do have dry skin but the 2 other Chanel foundations i wear look much more hydrating & after my natural oils begin 2 shine thru they even look glowy,the other 2Chanel foundations i wear r sublimage & healthy glow, i didnt need this foundation bc I really like my other 2 but every1 was saying 2 try this 1 bc of the red camillia anti-aging skincare & also bc its supposed 2 b deeply hydrating & a good choice 4 anti-aging foundation from Chanel as a cheaper alternative 2 the sublimage,but 4 some reason its extremely matte on me each time i wear it which is odd bc the chanel healthy glow is not supposed 2 really b an anti-aging foundation,it does have skincare of course but not considered an anti-aging foundation,but this 1 is, so y does this feel so much less hydrating on me than my chanel healthy glow foundation wen every1 else even the chanel website says the N°1 de Chanel is the more moisturizing anti-aging of the 2? & every review ive watched on this foundation says its a dewy hydrating foundation, even more so than the Chanel healthy glow foundation,bc on me the healthy glow is so much more hydrating & glowy whereas this 1 is matte? does anyone else have this problem with this foundation or is my skin just extremely different from every1 else's

This has nothing to do with the foundation you are reviewing however, you mentioned during your outdoor shot that it was 15 degrees and also that the barking was coming from your neighbor's dog. I live in southern California, so I am wondering is that normal to leave a dog outside in that type of cold weather?

Great review, I’m excited to try this. I’m on the fair side but have also had issues with Chanel shades. Wondering if you have tried or are going to review the new Chanel creme blush and lip product sold at Ulta. I’d love to know your thoughts! So glad you are back!

I've got the shade BD31 in the Chanel no.1 (no idea what the letter "D" means 🥴). I really like it but the shade isn't quite right. I don't have the Healthy Glow, however, I'm seriously considering it as I'm interested in seeing if I can get it in a better shade match with the Healthy Glow. A brand as large and global as Chanel ought to be covering as many shades as possible. The removal of the existing sgade B61 (?) - your shade, is appalling! Those people (who had bought Healthy Glow in that existing shade) who expected to be able to buy the No.1 foundation in the same shade, MUST be sorely ticked off. I know I would have been. Not good enough Chanel. Love ya 💗💗💗💗💗 PS : You take your Xmas tree down whenever you want - who cares, you've been really unwell and life is just life. 🥰

I'm using Chanel Le TEINT Ultra B30 (which is too dark for me) and Vitalumier Aqua B20 (bit light for me 😕)

If you are NC20, you will want the BD21 or BD31, definitely not the 41. I am a light golden NC25 and ELDW 2W1 and I got the BD31 so you might want to start with the 21. If you want to know what I wear in other foundations let me know.

My opinion, I think it is a perfume scent, and for me it doesn't last like Dior or YSL. Many people couldn't stand the fragrance in the Healthy Glow. I don't think this is as strong, but again, I didn't have the best sense of smell pre Covid and after Covid it's still not 100%. Lol. 😁❤

It sounds like they have a pretty nice strategy to make people spend double the amount to get their shade. Sneaky Chanel marketing team! I am losing trust in this brand more and more. I don’t understand why brands change their shades from product to product.

VERY VERY disappointed in this foundation. Luckily I tried it an alternate days alongside the IT cosmetics your skin but better and I was able to see the huge difference. The It cosmetics one is one third of the price less and twice as beautiful. This Chanel foundation felt oily, did absolutely nothing for my skin to blur or improve its appearance. It got oilier as the day went on . The one good thing it looked imperceptible but then again so does the It cosmetics one. Even thought it was undetectable the Chanel one did really nothing to make my skin look more refined. Whereas the It cosmetics one looked like a veil. The only thing I need to say is the It cosmetics can look a little matte ,although not a flat or dehydrated matte but it certainly is less luminous. But at the same time my skin looked beautiful with the It cosmetics one whereas with the Chanel I looked like I was wearing a CVS product . I had much higher expectations from a product that is over 70 dollars.
