CHATURANG is an ancient form of singing.This composition (Bandish and both the Tarana) is written and composed by Sri Anand Lahiri ji. He is disciple of Padma Vibhushan Pandit Kishan Maharaj Ji. Thank you for bringing in this Raag in your lessons. The lyric of the composition is very time bound in this confiscated state of pandemic(Corona)! 'SHUV GHARI AAYO RE..' Your melodious voice and Anand Ji's tabla gave life to the composition... Simply beautiful

Mam thora dhrupad ke bareme ap Agar hum e kuchh roshni dete....... matlab is chijke bareme ajkal koi nahin kahta hai, jabki hamare classical history me iska bahut purana abodan raha hai. Sir jab dhrupad ke bareme bol rahe the to mujhhe laga ki ajkal is division ko koi sikhta nahin hai or interest bhi kam dekhne ko milta hai. Hum kolkata ke rahne bale is ki kami ko bahut hi mahsus karte hai kyuki pahle yaha iski bahut charchaa hoti thi ajkal koi nahin karta. Or hume iske bareme bilkul kuchh bhi nahin pata.
