Still the best recorded RC heli flight of all time. 2013 when I found this it was the craziest and most aesthetic flight ever...still is. No contest.

I remember seeing this video 5 months ago while searching online for my next Heli after realising I needed more from my MCX. It made NOOO sense to me and was convinced I had no interest in this type of chaos. 5 months in, 1 new transmitter, 1 Flight sim and 5 Helis later, I watched this again. "Good god man". It makes perfect sense now I have an understanding of what's involved. Your amazing. 1 gripe. Please don't fly so close to yourself. I want to see more of your skills into the future. I watched this many years ago by random chance, it's this video that inspired me to get into 3D helis. After all that time, rewatching it again it still is holds up to time.

Whenever my friends and family inquire about the fancy-looking "toy" helicopters I own, I always refer them to this particular video without fail. My favourite part is when the guy says, "It's high-head speed time." This is undoubtedly one of the best videos showcasing 3D helicopter flying.

I don't know how to fly these. But when I first saw this video I had to own a Gaui X7 because I fell in love with the look and color scheme of it. She's been hanging from the ceiling in my bedroom for quite a few years now. Maybe one day I will but a simulator and learn how to fly. But this video sold me my X7. I bought the same formula kit with the 700mm blades. It's one of my favorite decorations.

OK you have to know the subtle little details to appreciate this - like the cadence in the 8's (mobius?) when Tareq accelerates into each "corner".. I stand by my comment having watches 100s of 3d videos! Tareq... have you ever wondered exactly why this video is so popular?

To all of you who don't fly RC helis, this is 10x harder than it looks. Flying 3d takes months/years of practice and I've never seen anyone as talented as this guy

Супер, раньше было удивительно, как стрекоза такие быстрые маневры совершает. Но это чудо техники и стрекозу, похоже, уделало... Все дело в маленьком весе и огромной мощностью мотора и лопастей. Ну и система управления - супер. Ну и пилот - ас.

Ровно на боку он не зависает. Через вертикальную точку он перепрыгивает. Оператор - крут!

In the late sixties, I was friends with Dick Wheeler. He flew the RC helicopter in the Towering Inferno. He was one of the earliest successful r/c helicopter Pilots. He helped me fly my testors Skyhawk Galloping -Ghost rudder only, radio-controlled airplane. Now people are flying like this, thanks to men like Dick Wheeler.

The batteries last from 4 to 7 minutes before recharge, but the blades need positive pitch to stay airborne and so press the grass away with a cushion of air.

Автовыравнивание используют либо начинающие, либо для специальных целей - фото/видеосъемка, геодезия, и.т.д. В ДАННОМ случае речь не идет ни о "датчиках положения", ни о тем более "препятствий", собственно об этом я и писал, пока ты не влез со своими мудрыми мыслями

т.е. именно угловых ускорений (гироскопов), датчики скоростей это акселерометры, Тарек ими точно не пользуется ;) - быстро писал. Т.е. стоит самый обычный ФБЛ со стабилизацией по 3-м осям. АФАИК конкретно на этом вертолете - IKON, Тарек на нем в Москве демо-полеты летал в прошлом месяце. Но пля же не "датчики определяющие положение препятствий!!!!!!

This is a collective pitch heli, the blades change pitch and therefore you can also hover with heli on back. Just google for "collective pitch helicopter" and I am pretty sure you will find loads of information on the aerodynamics and the technology of these 3d helicopters.

Have you ever attended an RC heli display live? I have seen hundreds, and even though it seems "unreal" it is as real is you see it on this video.

It is because it can reverse the angle of attach of the blades from positive (upright lift) to negative (inverted lift)
