Yep, same! Our tree growing up always had a doll type angel on top and then a mix with our homemade school ornaments and other Christmas ornaments. Now, I have a star that lights up and flashes different colors and just cheap shatter proof Christmas color ornaments. For my son's school made ornaments, I decorate a smaller tree that's dedicated to those. Last year I set it up in his room.

Katie. My daughter, another random shopper. And I were blown away with the projector stars and other tree toppers!! They were all plugged in and projecting items on the ceiling! We were soooo impressed and thought target's bags were sooo much nicer/prettier this Christmas! Soooo many new cute items! ( : We got the Santa target bird tonight too!! Woo hoo and we snagged two of the green Dollar Spot gnomes tonight too! I was soooo psyched! ( : All the toppers and skirts are sooo beautiful this year! ( : Growing up, we had an angel tree topper and we have mostly handmade ornaments, mixed in with my daughter's Disney ornament collection as well as the bird ornament collection she has brought over the years! ( : The Santa stops here tree topper is awesome! It is over the top! Lol! ( : I totally agree about the Elsa toppers! Lol! That's great! ( : I really love the star which projects the stars too! It is really beautiful in person! ( : You don't have any mini birds in the $3 section at your store! ) : We got a new lit tree last year from Walmart! ( : It is soooo beautiful! ( : our one before was also a lit tree but most of the lights were no longer working and we had to add strings of lights. Was sooo happy to have a beautiful new tree! I would love to hear your advice on where to buy my Christmas trees. I just moved and need to buy at least 2 big trees and I’d also like to potentially splurge on one for my porch and another for my bedroom - but need to find the best deals to do that! Thanks for any advice you can provide!!

As always, i love your shop with me videos! 🥰 I have that star with ceiling projector in silver.. It’s beautiful and have that magical effect.. The one i have has multi colored lights.. We love it! Looking for another tree topper this year for our new Christmas tree.. I love the matte black tree collar! 👌🏼 They do look different, one looks matte and the other looks a bit glossy! I’m excited to get new ornaments! Thanks for the video! I would love to get your opinion where to get the best artificial Christmas tree.. we got our new one from lowes this year but definitely replacing our other one next year, we got it from Walmart..😊

I am surprised soo many empty spaces in ornament sections. I did like a lot of what I saw no gingerbread ... 🙁 last yr they had some I loved hoping they had more. Tfs. I love the glass and the angel and cartoon type ones and houses and deers. Those gold ornaments you got match that gold angel topper. It was soo cute and I love the snow flake looking topper.

Perhaps unconventional but our tree topper was a Santa. Kind of reminds me of what you mention with the 'doll' aspect but it was like hollow on the inside to fit on the top 🎅🎄

Truth time I have never understood garland, tinsel, ribbon, or even popcorn. I always wondered why we decorate our tree with beautiful ornaments and then cover them with garland. I know unpopular opinion. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Thanks for the video! Love the variety.

I've also decided im not doing tree skirt this year. Last year I picked them up before I went to bed and put them back when the roomba was done. It was a pain in my ass. Lol. Which is unfortunate because I bought two gorgeous skirts last year. I ordered a really glam tree collar so thats exciting and I think I'm gonna diy the stand for our real tree🎄

I was in the middle of downloading some forms when the notification came and I was like “hurry…a Katie video just dropped.” 😂🤣 Great video, makes me excited for tomorrow. I think, after seeing so many incredible items in all your videos, that I’ve decided my new style is going to be the soft muted colors of the pinks, golds and whites with pops of red (so I can get that pillow you showed last week). I mean my kids are grown so why not. 👍🥰

I honestly don't remember what we had on our tree growing up-- knowing my mom, it probably changed when she found a new one she liked lol. I'm the same though. I initially didn't think I needed anything in that area of decor but saw some cute ornaments I might look at for tiered tray items like the fruit "patches" for other times of the year.

We always had a star ⭐️ on top of our tree. My husband always had an angel. When we had kids our trees always had a star and I never even asked if he wanted an angel lol 😆

i just got some of the pricier "glass" ornaments from Wondershop at Target. They are not glass. They are plastic. I feel cheated and they are going back tomorrow. I was really looking forward to decorating my Christmas tree this year with delicate glass ornaments, but now I want to cry. Why do they have to say they're glass when they are so clearly plastic. I dropped one on the hardwood floor and it just rolled away. Plus, there's a big seam that runs up the side of the ornaments. I'm so disappointed. Decorating this Christmas tree really meant something to me.
