I this video I will be reviewing the 26g version of the SP01 Swiss point model. Also in the video is a very rare 180 from me lol I actually recorded it during my slow-motion section so enjoy! :)

Very nice 180 and in slow-mo very nice looking darts looks like a lot of work goes into them sometimes those guys that use the 26 gram darts get left out of a lot of things they don't make them that heavy I'm glad Target at least thinks about us once in awhile and nice to see you back Darren.

Been to long Darren, looking forward to the next one. Question for you though, do you think manufacturer's especially Target have them intricate grip patterns up front due to the back walls of the dart are to thin for the stems to screw in?

Very probably but these also have a fair bit drilled out for the new Swiss points so can't say for certain that's the reason :)

The Swiss point system works well. Points are easy to replace which gives you the ability to experiment with different points. I had no trouble with points breaking too easily, which is is a complaint I heard here and there with other users. The grip is unusual but well designed. One really big turn of for me was the quality: it's not what I'm used to and expect from Target. I ordered the 22 grams but the barrels all had different weights:,19g, 21g and 23g! Way to much variation between the 3 barrels. I love Target and I'm vary happy with their daytona and Taylor line of darts but fthis time they dropped the ball. At this price it should be made with more precision. 6/10

Nice to see you back . Hope all is good . Is there much of a weight differences with the points . As I do like all my set of darts to weigh be as close to each other as possible . So if I ordered a set of extra points would I have to buy meany set of points to find the same weighted ones. By the way nice 180

Thanks Peter! :) I dont notice any difference regards weight, its offset any way by the fact it fills all the space that is drilled out for the thread. Always nice to hit a 180 especially for me as they are so rare lol! :)

You will get it, if I can hit one with double vision and knackered joints I'm sure you can too, just work on your rhythm and try to get each throw the same, don't worry where you hit just get them all grouped and worry about accuracy later :)

What does a set of replacement points cost? (I had to watch with the sound off and the Captions kinda suck) My home bristle board is in a room with a bare concrete floor so I expect I'd manage to break one eventually.

Hi Darren,yep,these look very nice,bit pricey but no surprise nowadays. Like you ,it`ll be interesting to see how many folk get points broken at the groove . New idea and yet to be tested as they are so new. Next time ya get two in the lipstick....just close yer eyes for the third he he :-

I really like the barrels on these but do have concerns on the lip and catching the flights of other darts

its not as bad as it seems but I think it really depends on the angle that your darts come in at towards the ones already in the board.

not done it myself but other people have, they say once you do though it will no longer work with Swiss points.

Okay so I had a set of these arrive 1/10/2019. Used 3 times and so far when I had a bounce out 1 26mm and 1 30mm tip has broken off. Good job i ordered a set of 26 mm diamond point tips which stick in the board better. My floor is quite hard but whenever I use my other sets of darts I have never broken a tip. Love the shape of the darts but think the tips are too weak. Have complained to target so see If I get replacement tips sent out😥

I think the idea has some merit but really the points should be made stronger, I am sure that is possible to do.

Some Target illustrations show Swiss points that don't have these grooves. I wonder what caused them to think they should be added.

The groove is to allow the point to break outside of the barrel so the bit left can still be removed, think that is the issue many have with them, that it has a built in breaking point

thanks for the review, i think i would like the barrel without the point system , but I guess target want to lock you in to their products. The honeycomb grip would be better on the back I think with the back grip. More emphasis is on the point than this barrel which is a shame. Nice shooting.

That barrel is truly a masterpiece. The point system...no not for me. May as well sell the barrel for soft tip and steel tip conversion honestly.

I like the darts, but not the point system. I noticed the ones they come with are the slippery silver ones that everyone hates, so out of the box you have to buy some new points. Either Target know this and they are happy for you spend extra money to get decent points, or they think that dart players like points that are shiny and slide out of the dartboard and onto the floor. Which would increase the risk of breaking the point.

Glad to see you kept your teeth whole in this video.As for the darts:very goodlooking dart,point system is an expensive gimmick in my opinion.And overall Target new launches are to costly for most dartplayers,very high quality,unaffordable.

Too expencive darts , great designed darts and as usual nice review . Will stay to used my set up of Winmau darts by Paul Nicholson in 22 g with aluminium shafts .
