tbf Fnatic has always been good, they've just had simultaneous problems in the past with the players getting sick, visa issues, and other small things that could bother them in matches. I really think 2023 is their year to dominate this game.

Japan had such a W crowd so I'm happy for FNC at least they got to celebrate their win properly this time and go to the fans thank them for the support, sign autographs take pictures etc... It was sad asf when they won in Brazil and all the fans left the arena and they was lifting the trophy to nobody. Hopefully LA is just as good as Tokyo

FNC is one of the few super teams that work. Also I wouldn't call a 3-0 grand finals a glow up, maybe it's an improvement but only if you've never got to finals.

@@convertible2987 yes but I think EDG is more impressive in regards to improvement. From not winning a single international game to beating and nearly beating world class teams. That is crazy. Getting to finals only to go out 0-3 is not if anything they got worse after they lost to FNC the first time. Close 0-3 is not good enough, maybe if they didn't choke map 3 it would have been ok but not like this.

Bro, FNC has such a godly roster. Every single one of the players has the ability to win the round for their team. The prime example is Alfajer Cypher lurks on Bind. He won the team 2 rounds by taking down at least 1 on site or bathroom and created SO MUCH space for FNC.

@@gloriamichel5775 Yeah, Raze is better for the team in 4 maps FNC played. But Derke is different beast on Jett. Check his playstyle with both Jett and Raze. With Jett he's more aggressive, consistently top frags and on Raze, he's aggressive when they change the pace and push fast but he plays laid back with his team, he didn't overheat once this tournament, unlike other duelists.

Fnatics team is just perfect. When one player has some kind of a bad map or even a bad day, they still have 4 dudes that make their job perfectly. Leo (again) and Alfajer really stood out this tournament, though. As Sean already said... in the most competitive time of Valorant they're the best team in Valorant ever to this point. I'm so excited for Champions in August and what Fnatic will change to stay on the Top (especially with the new agent), how much EG will improve even more, how crazy Paper Rex will play with something and what teams like Liquid, NRG, EDG, DRX, LOUD and NAVI will do to compete.

I won't lie I love Tarik and every other stream has been gold I love what he brings to them as an experience. But I just could not watch him watch today's games. Oh yeah definitely, it was the reason why I hopped back to the actual stream of the finals because they kept missing plays due to just chatting lmao. The first map with Mel was actually fine, it was interesting even since Mel was talking about strats and possible outcomes but it just got lost when Peter and Jodi appeared. I mean Peter kept chatting and asking questions while Jodi actually tried to watch which I love her for (btw this is what I saw before leaving his stream so idk if it got better or not). Don't get me wrong, they can absolutely do that but it's just unfortunate when you see them miss some of the insane plays some of the players do at the end of the round just because they were talking about dicks or experiences in Japan which they could have talked about off-screen.

The thing about Fnatic is that they do not have a single memember that cannot clutch a 1 v multiple people, or do a massive multi kill entry frag, etc. Alfajer is a "quieter" player sometimes, and then he has games when his team is not doing that great, in which he becomes Death. Same with all the other players. And that is the strenght of Fnatic: You may caught a player with a bad game, but you will never caught them all, and a couple of them at their peak are enough to win against most teams. Truly an incredible team. While other IGLs rely on the coach to make greater strategies, Boaster studies the game himself, and that shows. They have so many micro adjustments between rounds, like changing this person to this box, or moving Raze to C because KJ is going to ult, etc.

sad but im not to upset. as much as eg are the main characters and somehow win everytime i can accept that fanatic won. their just on another level. it will be interesting to see EG return to americas though because the teams to be scared of were nrg, c9, loud, and lev and furia werent bad either. But now eg will return after they decimated loud? like what will it even look like.
