Tarisland: Is It Worth Playing?

I'll go over my new player experience, what I like, what I dislike, and then give you a bit of information on what a player can expect from Tarisland.

Yea, too many people judge it so harshly, when they should just look at it as a fun, free game, they can play, or not.

3rd day in and I've only spent US$99cents cause I'll get a bag extender. Havn't experienced any P2W disavantages. The low crafting "Vigor" is a pain and I'd need to spend to increase that but so far all PVE content-guests, raids, dungeons and PvP options are open to me and I don't even need special paid access to the acution house. I'm usually at top of DPS meter in 5 man dungeons. Seems fair so far, maybe at end game that will change......

Yea, a lot of players keep saying P2W, but I don't see it yet, and even at end game, I don't think I'll be tempted to spend on the game.

@@NewbWorld keep in mind most people saying there's pay to win only saying it cause it's a mobile game not knowing there favorite PC MMO has more pay to win then this game

How come you didn't address the elephant in the room? The pay to win? Please tell me I just missed that part of the video, because I can't imagine you failing to mention that part.

It just released, it's not even possible to hit max level yet. I don't see why anyone would be spending any money in this game, unless for cosmetics. Maybe there is once you hit max level, I have yet to experience it tho.

Solid analysis of the game. Played it for a couple days myself and agree with basically all your observations. Question for you: How do you obtain such high quality trailer/game videos? From my experience, I always lose quality trying to download them and it comes out fuzzy 😢

You mean the screen captures? Or the trailers? Any of those KZfaq downloading sites works for me to download the trailers, just make sure you're downloading it in the highest quality available.

It’s not. Newb World is an honest, genuine dude. And He usually has a more positive outlook on games across the board, while also pointing out weaknesses (or things he’d like improved)

@@kurtdha It just launched, and max level isn't even available yet. I haven't had any experience with pay to win in the game so far.

Free PTW games and gacha games are like casinos for me. I can see what plagues they are on society and how terrible they are for the people with the obbsession to spend in them but for me I go in have fun, spend less then I would on a full game (in casino sense less then a show and dinner) and have a really good time. I dont think this game could ever be the "home" wow was for me for so many years but the dungeons scratch the itch I have to heal and doesnt require me to pay a subscription to do it. I am sure I will be dropping in and out of this game to scratch that itch for a long time and spending nothing or almost nothing to do it.

Exactly how I'd describe it, and it came out at the perfect time, as my main MMO, New World, just went into hibernation for 4 months.

The Game doesn't look at all like WoW... nor does it play like WoW. Tarisland feels like what it is... a cheap Mobile Game... clunky Gameplay, overloaded UI and boring story.

It has a lot of models similar to WoW, and that's because it was being made by a company that was working with the WoW creators until they had a disagreement and split off. I've seen countless people online who played WoW say that as well, so I don't think that's controversial to say.

@@NewbWorld idk I played it for arround 8hrs... didn't see ANYTHING that looked close to any WoW assets but whatever... the Game will be dead in 1-2 Months anyways.

This sounds like a giant POS of a game with a paid "content creator" trying to make it sound worth playing.

Na, they didn't pay me anything, it's just a free game, that you can choose to not spend in, get some fun out of, and get out whenever you want. It's not anything deeper than that. Go in expecting a mobile MMO, and keep your credit card in your wallet, and just have fun until it's not fun anymore for you.

I mean, there's still fun to be had in the game, and it's free with a small download size. Worth checking out, you might like. I know some WoW players that are loving the game, and you can play it on PC.

Tarisland is for casuals… Albion is for a hardcore player.

Was thinking about going in for a video and giving Albion a fair shot, I loved OSRS growing up, and never really gave Albion long enough to make a fair judgement on it.

@@NewbWorld it’s a good game, I put well over 600 hours… but it is a serious grind. Clock in for 8 hours and clock out. Sure you can play casually but you’re not gonna get anywhere. Also the losing your loot on death is a turn off for most people.
