IMO parts of metal music, like Jazz music, became art music - not always the highest level, but operetta and sometimes opera are not, too - both genres are also entertaining genres and very popular songs are taken from operas and operettas. But I think today there is often no need to wear a suit neither for opera nor for metal concerts as long as it is not a special event. btw, I wear my boots also in opera - feet problems ;)

@@Aurinkohirvi Why has she actually shifted to more contemporary sound? I think her strength is in her head voice, not so much in her chest voice. I prefer Tarja for more classical sound and Floor for more contemporary sound, although both can do both things.

@@Ministry_0f_Truth I don't agree, I think her chest voice was great. But yeah she is more known of the head voice. I don't know, I definately do like more of her classical and Christmas songs singing style than her rock albums' style. They changed the style she sings in Century Child album, and ever since there's been less vibrato and this more contemporary style singing mixed with the classical style. She doesn't try to sound beautiful in her rock album songs, it's more about the feelings, and she sometimes uses shortly this what I call moaning, and I don't fancy it. Tarja also told in a stream that her voice colour is usually now different from her early NW era, because her classical singing has improved (and yeah I agree she is better singing classical now). I do like a lot for example "Love to Hate" in London Metropolis, so I'm not saying that she can't sing that style well.
