Yea, it gave me Rouge One vibes as soon as I heard Project Stardust.

Gave me Rebels vibes instead. Basically the exact same thing happens with Thrawn's Tie Defender project funds/resources being dissolved into Project Stardust. Tarkin really doesn't like other projects. Edit: Also, "Rouge" is pronounced "rooj" and is a pinkish-red colour. You guys mean "Rogue". Edit II: Unless of course, you guys are talking about something else, a Rouge One that's entirely separate from the movie we know as Rogue One, in which case you should keep saying Rouge One because it is in fact related to the colour rouge and nothing to do with the squad who stole the Death Star plans.

Conversion from ILM to Autodesk

It looks like the same model, but slightly simplified for the Clone Wars animation style, since there's less greebles and panel lines. But still a beautiful model.

@@chatterycasque9594 makes sense. I think even the venators in TCW were converted versions of the models used in ROTS.

It is a shame they retired them, but they inspired hope in the time of the Republic and the Tarkin doctrine of using fear to keep the systems in line didn't work with the Venators.

​@@megabyte1778 It inspired hope mostly on republic planets. Using them in the outer rim and former separatist systems would'nt be a bad idea if he wanted to spread fear.

Venator and tector would be cooler. Empire's never going to use vendors with imperial variants since they have to be incompetent to make the rebels look good for plot reasons.

Knowing Thrawn he would have had an extremely good reason to get his hands on the venators for his 7th fleet

Palpatine wanted to get rid of ANYTHING resembling the old Republic; including old ships and tech they used. It's worse considering Venators have Class 1 hyperdrives and could keep up with starfighters. They sacrificed ships and vehicles that were powerful and had versatility for sheer size and firepower. A massive mistake on their end.

@@coruscant100 I doubt they will fully abandon it. I think they will just keep it for storage. Not like the Empire to abandon worlds for the sake of it. Plus, I got a feeling Palpatine can/will overrule Tarkin if he wants to. Given that Tantiss is just a mountain on the planet (the planet itself being called Weyland) I don't see the Empire fully abandoning it.

Actually Tarkin was skeptical about the Death Star up until it was finally tested on Jedha city, He even planned to have the TIE defender program have its funding secured and taken away from project stardust that is until Governor Pryce foolishly blew up the fuel depot

This is definitely the ISD Sovereign - which gets destroyed in Rebels. Tarkin gets the Executrix afterwards - up until the Battle of Yavin

@@scottcockton Based on your reaction, you seem way more bothered about my opinion than I am about the Star Destroyer xD Also, it's not that "it isn't 100% to my calculations", it's simply that the Rebels' model is entirely different. Not even a stylistic choice change like the lightsabers, it's just entirely different on design. And, again, it's not like it is a big deal, I just find it funny to point out xD

I get easily upset at complaints said by Star Wars fans because most of the time not all but most of the time it’s people complaining at things because it was not 100% accurate and not how they wanted it exactly and then shit on Disney which is like yeah Disney is a greedy multimillion dollar company and they ruined the sequels. But they also done some good things we got the mandalorian we got Hayden and ewan to return we got clone wars season 7 we got to see animated characters back in live action we got good darth vader comics we got rouge one and andor but nope people only look for the bad and complain at little things like captain Rex armor in his life action cameo for being inaccurate for a 10 second appearance

This base was introduced in the Thrawn Trilogy as part of his plan there, so I wouldn’t be surprised.

Hemlock and Lama Se are gone, and as far as the Emperor knows they were the only ones who knew the intricacies of Project Necromancer. Without them, there’s no one else who would even know where to start. As we know, Palpatine does continue the research, but clearly it’s not perfect as evident in TROS.

I think you are forgetting that the lab was destroyed with all the data on Project Necromancer. Even if Palpatine wanted to continue he couldn’t since the last Kaminoan expert on cloning was killed along with the escape of all the clone test subjects. For Palpatine it would make sense to allow the funds to be diverted to Stardust as that project would be completed in a few years whilst Necromancer has been set back decades due to the loss of data.

Yeah I'm happy to see the ISD, but having Stormtroopers accompany Tarkin with Tie Fighters flying, would complete it.

In Legends the Executrix was the first ISD off the line so it'd make the most sense.

Executrix came off of the line in the Clone Wars as an Imperator class Star Destroyer, and was later upgraded into an Imperial I. I believe this is the Executrix

I mean I think it’s pretty clear the project necromancer was the first attempt to make clones for palpatine i think vader death theme is more of telling the viewer that this really is end the of the clones now really since scorch and the assassins are dead and this is were palpatine focus changes from project necromancer and now to project star dust and the start of tarkins incompetence in the project also probably the fact that there is very little left of the republic left with the imperial star destroyer there

We didn't even get a appearance of the Victory class star destroyer either, always the star destroyer that is relegated to games and reference books but never makes a single appearance in anything beyond a brief novel mention and bad comic art.

In Vader comics on the Mon Cala invasion we see Tarkin with three ISD, and that comic is set 2 years before Revenge Of The Sith so it's makes sense to see them here, al least in canon.
