For those who wonder, the Tarkin novel was at first written for Legends, but James Luceno was forced to rewrite it and likely remove content to fit it into the new continuity. That's why that novel has characters from Legends, like Armand Isard or the protocol droid of Plagueis, who have not yet reappeared in the new Canon.

I'm glad it's at least in the cannon such a waste to not cannonize the parts u can . I know it still exists in legends but I wouldn't mind more legends being added to cannon the parts they can add .

It is. Tho my favorite incident involving him is when Price is talking to him, about Thrawn and Vanto, and how she can't get Vanto a promotion (which was overdue and deserved) and talking responds by giving Vanto a double or triple (or some crazy promotion), plus gives thrawn a promotion to flag rank, and a ISD lol. Like, just to show he is power.

I like how Tarkin has been treated by the new canon, but it's pretty sad that horrible short-story in which he sleeps with a stormtrooper is part of it. Tarkin would NEVER do that with someone of such rank

The hell 🤮. That man is so old, and it is so out of character. Why did they do that and why did we know to know. I thought Disney was family friendly lol. We get kisses on screen at Mac for a reason, tho I'll admit andor screws that up too and I love andor. Ig the series and books can be for a more mature audience but the movies should be kept at pg 12

Tarkin really didn’t understand how regular individuals actually thought and because he thought that people were sheep who all it took was to scared them straight to keep them in line. Though it made me wonder what would have happen if people just kept fighting back even with his doctrine in affect would he have created a even more ruthless strategy to fight against the Alliance.

When you bring up the fact that Ahsoka is 16 and was involved in the Lola Sayu extraction, I can completely get way talkin loathed the Jedi and this aspect of the republic I know she snuck aboard the shuttle but still the fact she is involved in this operation is such a far cry from standard military procedure

OK, I'm assuming that the footage being shown at 2.30.00 is from 'Rogue One'. Peter Cushing died decades ago, so they either found an extremely good match for him in the actor they picked, or else employed some way above standard CGI work, with his vast performance library to guide them. Either way, the result was stunning... I wasn't sure if I was watching previously unseen footage from 'Star Wars: a New Hope'!

Palpatine rules the Empire and is the primary antagonist. But TARKIN is the true representation of the Empire's evil fascistic nature. Which is why I HATE him, and in my opinion is the best villian of Star Wars.
