@@joncheek7063 the concept of a boss doesn't go well with a game like EFT, some are already stupidly absurd as they are now (I once shot 22 5.56 bullets to Sanitar without killing him!) and simply unfair to fight without cheesing them or trying to play around the AI breaking the immersion into the game. No human should be able to tank a bullet like that to the head (or any bullet to the head in general but whatever...)

@@joncheek7063 bro the boss health pool has to make sense within the game of tarkov. bullet sponge bosses in tarkov makes absolutely NO sense at all. this is why sanitar is considered the hardest and most annoying. he will tank and entire mag of BS rounds to the chest when he can just two tap you with his VAL. it's not balanced

I’m glad I stopped playing, twitch brought the wrong crowd to this game and you can tell in creative design philosophy in regards to change from community feedback. Haven’t played in a a year now and I’m not that upset over it.

M61 can't either. Killas head has 70 hp, M61 has 70 damage, when a round penetrates significant Armor it loses damage, meaning if you hit Killa in the face shield you will likely only deal somewhere around 65 damage to his head, which won't kill him. It does make a big difference against Glukhar, Shturman and Sanitar though, since M61 will 1 shot headtap them, and 993 won't.

Its because m993 is worse than m61 and you can craft m61 in hideout, I only say its worse because once you get over 60 pen there is no difference in penetration power and m993 has less damage

@@Yashatheseal 993 has better pen(which is negligible as u said), armor damage, and muzzle velocity. It is also only 3 less damage soooo yea.... 993 is the superior round and I lucked into some cheap ammo. I paid 2100 a round for 120 993. Let me know the next time you can buy it that low on flea. Yesterday it was 5k+ a round. So cool tho that u have the confidence to come in here and try to blatantly mislead newer players.

M61 is better in most cases though, the difference in penetration is negligible, and due to the fact that even M61 pens class 6 on first hit pretty much the same as 993 (2% chance difference) the higher Armor damage is actually useless (or even bad, because you will destroy the Armor of someone you shoot more as you kill them) and the 3 lower damage is the difference between oneshotting bosses with 70 head hp and not oneshotting them with a headshot. Objectively M61 is better aside from long range shooting, where the quite significantly higher velocity of 993 can help quite a bit. For super long range shots that require zeroing though 993 is worse again, since the zeroing is relative to the "standard" ammunition velocity of the gun, which for all 7.62x51 guns is M61, meaning M993 will shoot high at ultra long range if you use zeroing. The only reason M993 is more expensive is because it's less available (no trader buy option) and more rare to find in raid.

So I'm interested to see how 5.45 preforms now, especially since we have new armors as well. I would love to see an update just like this is an update of .308 :-)

No...the ammo damage is what it is regardless of the gun u are using...the velocity/drop will be effected between barrel lengths and some guns as well...DVL for instance will put m993 over 1000 meters per second but something like an RSAS will be under somewhere around 900 if I remember correctly

@@jarrudam3698 check the hitboxes. The helmets doesnt protect what you see, but what is described to protect it. Many helmets look like the protect the jaws, when in fact they dont. So you basecally have 0 armor there. Jaws and ears arent protected in most cases by helmets. There are some videos you might want to check about it

I have never had this be the case, it could be due to you hitting stomach instead of thorax and you just arent hitting headshots. Because the way the game is coded the gun has no effect on the penetration power of a round, so it must just be human error

M80 is decent for new player on a budget, it's really cheap, very early to access and will still 1 tap basically every helmet and face shield that people will run besides Altyn/ Ryst (which are becoming more and more rare to see, because they're becoming pointless due to how many people use M61/ M995 etc now so hearing is favoured). And M62 has a right to exist because tracers are nice for long range sniping if you're not used to the drop yet. But yeah if you can afford M61 there's no point to run anything else

Agree I just started this wipe ( wasn't gona play this wipe) was running around woods with a shot gun doing the introduction quest to get jaeger killed a scav with Bel SA, had bpz in it. As I went to outskirts for extract a PMC was.sniping on some rocks, 1 tapped him in the head, level 50 wearing an exfil helm. Came out with snow ball loot off him. Though hard starting this late in the wipe lots of thicc Bois running around ATM

@@frozen4blade313 easier to start mid to late wipe. Cost of low level quest items are drastically cheaper and the loot u find on kills is markedly better.

No, in fact M62 got nerfed this wipe. It's just the top ammunition (well 7.62x54R has better rounds, but the guns firing it can not get anywhere near as good as 7.62x51 guns) and now that it's late wipe with every second player running slicks the rounds that will ignore a slick become more prominent
