During these Easter holidays I made the video that some of you asked me in the comments of "Bohemian Rhapsody Movie (2018) Vs Original Queen Music Videos | Comparison" ( • Bohemian Rhapsody Movi... )
Here are the scenes from the movie "Rocketman", the biography of Elton John, released in 2109, compared with the audio and video of the original Elton John songs.
It was perhaps the most complicated video to edit, due to the speed differences between Elton's songs and Taron's.
Here are the minutes in which you can find the songs:

Taron was not the right person at all to play Elton. Instead, Julian Casablancas would be the perfect person to play Elton.

Taron was the perfect person to play Elton. Also, can we talk abt what an amazing job the costume designers did? Every costume was spot on, but also with a little modern spin to it at the same time

It was criminal that Taron didn't receive at least an Oscar nomination as Elton John. Especially when you consider that he received nominations from BAFTA and SAG and won a Golden Globe, as well as a Satellite. He nails Elton's phrasing on the songs, sings them beautifully and perfectly, and also Elton's performance facial expressions, his walk and his run, and all along he's convincingly dramatic and authentically comedic

The best thing about this movie apart from Taron being spot-on is that it's not a full paint-by-numbers biopic like Bohemian Rhapsody or any other. It does tell parts of his life, obviously. But it's almost like a jukebox musical biopic with the way they use the songs to serve the story rather than just throw them in chronological order

Don't call it vocal battle , elton is elton and Taron is gonna sound like Taron . They are 2 completely different singers . I'm not saying Taron is a bad singer , but he doesn't sound like elton at all .
