Same here. I had a few 2-3 week breaks here and there mostly due to school work at the time but I was blown away at how well retail could still perform. Goes to show how Blizzard can still make good expansions if they put the effort in.

I played Legion more than I did during BFA while BFA was current. It was literally more fun doing all the class order hall quests etc than playing BFA lmao.

I won't play BfA honestly. 1: After the legion everything the world of warcraft can throw at us are weak by comparison. 2: Sylvanas isn't dead yet. only way to make me sub is to kill her off, or give us a raid so we can do it.

It's a curse since Wotlk, each good expansion has to have a mediocre to bad one right after. Wotlk: Good. Cataclysm: Meh. MoP: Excellent. WoD: Shit. Legion: Excellent. BfA: Bad. So following this logic, Shadowlands should be good and honestly Shadowlands already have a lot of good points going on for it. It's the most customisation friendly expansion ever, they reworked the leveling system you can choose choose in which expansion your character will level up to max level instead whatever it is right now. I'm not saying it will be good for sure but it's already have a better start on paper than BfA.

Sorry but I played since wotlk and I have to say legion was a really Great expansion, has a really good content and updates, adds a class that was liked for most part of the public and a lot of other things make this the best expansion

ive been hardcore playing since january 2005 its true many of the systems introduced in this expansion has led to the downfall of many systems but as for the expansion itself it was one of the best they have ever done Class halls new Class DH Artifact system made the game more fun casue u were able to get the weapon appearances uve always wanted many things they added in Legion were what the playerbase have been asking for YEARS not to mention challenge mode returning and the lore was at its peak once again during this expansion if to say that Legion should have been the final expansion yes u may be correct where do we go from here as far as storyline ..... shrug hence why alot of the team left after this expansion in their eyes .... it was the last one

You're contradicting yourself. Yes, it is true that Legion was the 'uitimate downfall' of what WoW used to be, and that makes it one of the best expansions this game has ever had. Old WoW (Pre-Cata) is severly outdated and it needed a revamp that Blizzard found in Legion. The problem is, the liked Legion so much they tried to copy and paste it on BfA and SL, and that utterly failed.

Yeah! Cata >>> WoD >>> Legion.

Demon Hunters were spoken about for years and everyone always wanted to see them in game which is why everyone got so hyped. I don’t think people tend to think of the balancing issues and stuff at the announcement of an expansion - it’s just initial excitement 🤷🏼‍♂️😂 I played all every patch of Legion and though the timegating was frustrating at times, it kept me excited for the story and meant I didn’t burn myself out. Obviously this is my personal experience of the expansion. It’s a shame you don’t feel the same. Hopefully, if you’re gonna be playing in Shadowlands, it meets your expectations ^^

My theory is that most of the old playerbase is gone. Very certain that those who say it was a good expansion started either with Legion or with WoD. I don't know a single person that played this game at its peak who liked Legion. Everyone pretty much agrees that it was the second worst expansion this game has every had and destroyed every little last bit that was left of World of Warcraft.
