I've never tried Fenty but my sister who is mixed absolutely loves it. But shes got normal slightly dry skin and mine is so oily it looks like I wash my face in grease. Is fenty better for oily or dry skin?

Fenty wasn't the fiesr brand to so so many shades

I guess So, I dont use their products but, i think Fenty beauty products is suitable for any type of skin. Maybe you can apply a small amount of finishing powder on your fave to get ride of the shine, then apply the foundation, apply finishing power (if the foundation appears shiny), then finish with a spritz of finishing spray. Thats my recommendation, but you can do whatever works for you.

I guess also, in the video, James said that the foundation dries really fast and it hid the oil on his skin, so you probably dont need finishing powder before you apply foundation, but again, you do what works for you

I agree because even though it would definitely cost more to release 30 foundations they would have a much much larger range of customers than they would have for only fair shades

agreed, but many brands make more than 30 shades with like 20 light/medium shades and only 10 darker shades which usually skip like 2 shades in between each foundation..

They listened to you sis. They now have 30 shades, 15 lighter and 15 darker, so happy everyone spoke up. I may not be dark skin, but I do wish everyone could’ve tried this at the same time.

So yes I do have a privilege of going and picking out a shade that best suits me in popular make up brands where as a black person may not. Should it be that way? No. But all I can do is be informed and choose to support businesses that have a wide variety of shades for both white and black skin tones and not give my business to those who do not.

I admire them owning up and admitting they failed - however, how much can you believe in what they said? ‘we were eager to release this before all shades were ready- we will work hard to finish the shades and release them ASAP regardless of the cost of speeding up that process’ (not exact wording, but that’s the jist of it) ... hard to know if that is a legit statement or damage control- prob a little of both. They did admit to failing big time and alienating a large demographic.. but too little, too late?? 🤔 It isn’t like it’s a big shocker or new revolution that darker skin tones come in more than 2 shades.. ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼✊🏻 like someone else said- the emojis have a wider range of color choices 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

I definitely think they're from a business point of view it would be smart for them to make colors to suit all skin tones because they would make a lot more money that way but if a company just prefers to market to a particular demographic I don't see that as a negative thing either, it would be like telling Ferrari that they also need to be inclusive and start making minivans to accommodate for big families and start making more affordable cars to accommodate lower income households, of course not, everybody knows the Ferrari doesn't give a fuck about you if you can't afford their car and that's fine, if they want to market to that particular demographic and that is all that that is their choice and that is there right and you have the right to just go elsewhere for you The same thing for full figured women and the clothing, a company has the right to not make plus size clothing if that's not who they care about marketing to in their market demographic, yeah it sucks for me, as a chubby girl but that is the companies right if forever 21 doesn't want to carry a IIx dress I don't really have the right to be mad I have the right to take my money elsewhere
