Super Punch-Out!! is an arcade game by Nintendo, released in 1984. This is the exciting sequel to Nintendo's 1983 arcade hit, Punch-Out!! ( tasvideos.org/3322M ). The Hero must defeat five new opponents from around the world, each a champion in his respective country, to become a "global" Champion of the World. The Hero has not been idle since winning the WVBA championship.

@@Sh0d3nn That's why i said DS... wow, more than 5 years! If i have to give an update on what has happened since then and related to this video is that i finally bought a new old stock refurbished DSlite, something i was trying to get at that time.

I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. I was the state champion of Super Punch Out with 20 high scores of 999,990. Good KO record times, but yours just totally DUST my times! My best was 35 on Grape Tiger, and 51 on Super Macho Man. If your machine was easier (Bear Hugger after Super Macho Man, instead of Dragon Chan), you would have had a 17-18 on Soda Popinski! My high on Popinski was 22, but that's because on my machine, Left, right, uppercut knocked him down, and on TWO knockdowns he was done.

Fun Fact: The Arcade versions of Punch-Out!!, both the Normal and Super, everything you see, it's all Background layers, including the characters in the Ring, there's no "Sprite" objects.

Apparently the announcer voice isn't actually recorded, rather acting like TTS softwares from the computers that would coin it later down the line. So like, you could probably be able to recode that voice to quote… I dunno, dead memes, I guess.

No, it was recorded. 80s TTS voices couldn't sound that natural in terms of cadence.

It's like that because the Punch-Out cabinets had two monitors stacked vertically. The top one showed the stats while the other showed the gameplay.
