[TAS] BFDIA 5b any% in

After 4 months of work on and off, I present to you: the most insanely optimized 5b TAS yet. If any further optimizations are found, I'll post the individual level tasses instead of updated full game tasses. I might do a 100% TAS at some point, but that probably won't be for a while.
I was going to include this in the commentary for level 44, but I forgot to, so I'm putting it here:
Once I finished optimizing level 44 the total time was 4:44.433 (the closest you can get to 4:44.444 at 60fps); the IGT would've rounded to 4:44.4 which is four 4s. After finishing level 44 I had also saved 4 frames in total that day (1 on level 13 and 3 on level 44). While it would've been fun to have the final time be 4:44.4, I knew that it wouldn't last, as the remaining levels still had some room for timesave.

Update: The morning after uploading this I was able to save 3 frames on level 3, so I guess the TAS shown in this video is definitely not the absolute limit. It does get close though.

4:27 This is the shortest level in the run time-wise. It works because if Book grabs and throws Match mid-jump, then we switch to Match and grab Ice Cube from underneath, we can bring her in the door and skip having to light match on fire, kill Ice Cube with the fire, and recovering her. It would actually be possible to redesign the level in such a way that this skip would be impossible -- If you made it so that the bottom side of Ice Cube's enclosure was all solid blocks except for one, grabbing her from beneath would not be possible and you would be forced to use the indented route. I think it would be funny if this short level had really long commentary that you would have to pause to read, so here's Moby-Dick: Call me Ishmael. Some years ago -- never mind how long precisely -- having little or no money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me on shore, I thought I would sail about a little and see the watery part of the world. 2:43 on level 20, is it possible to clip to the right of the green platform to skip going to the yellow lever? and also, isn't "RU RZ RU R" faster that just "RU RZ"? and can you please tell me a way to effectively clip easier with TAS? (the same goes for the "ice cube's grab boosting ride")

For level 20, Match can clip, but there's not enough room for Book. "RU RZ RU R" is faster than "RU RZ" and I do try to use it as much as possible, but in some instances "RU RZ" is better for routing. I generated clip setups using code to search for input strings given some initial conditions. This code is availible on github (github.com/infernostars/HTML5b/tree/master/tools/clipfinder), but currently you have to modify the code to set these initial conditions. For cases where you bump against the wall you want to clip into before clipping, the sequence "L - - R - - R L" should work. For 3-grabs I use the improved sequence "RU R RU R LU R R RU RZ RU R RU LZ R R RZ" (starting as Book), but you'll have to do some fiddling around with it to get it to work in any specific case. Also note that levels 50 and 51 have a different switching order and so require a different sequence. Setting up into 3-grabs is also its whole thing.

@@CI-._.-ID for level 34 I would've done that, but I couldn't find a way to do it. It was never meant to be very user friendly, it was just meant to work. I was only ever expecting myself to be the one using it, so it's built in a way that I understand, but is not necessarily intuitive to anyone else. With that being said, here's how to use clipfinder: download clipfinder.js and index.html and put them in a folder together. Open clipfinder.js in a text editor and open index.html in your browser. In the text editor you can edit some of the values at the top to enter the initial conditions. Reload the page in your browser and open the javascript console to view the results. I might do a quick tutorial to show how this works and going into more detail about exactly what variables do what. I don't expect you to be able to use it just from this comment, so actually I think I will definitely do that tutorial.
