[TAS] Genesis Shining in the Darkness by DarkKobold in 43:27.2

Shining in the Darkness is the first in the Shining series, which includes Shining Force. Unlike the later games, it is a first person dungeon crawler.
The author dissected the game with the help of Lua scripts to find optimal battles and avoid random encounters.

Dark Sol sacrificed all to gain the powers of darkness, but yet he was no match for the combined strength of RNG manipulation and Wachunga

Hah, didn't notice until the ten minute mark that the floor and ceiling actually rotate with the view, so the only thing the game has to load, are the walls. Pretty sneaky.

It normally can't be put to sleep by Pyra's spell, but Forbidden Box overrides all sorts of resistances to sleep.

Only Mithrill items. Dark/Cursed equipment is a pain in the a** in this game.

Extreme luck manipulation also count as TAS, whether people like it or not. Otherwise this would just be a generic speedrun full of boring random encounters.

It's TAS RNG manipulation. They use save states and try every segment over and over until they get a perfect outcome, like not encountering any enemies, always getting crits etc.
