(TAS) Mario Party 7 - Grand Canal

This is my Tool-Assisted Superplay for Mario Party 7 - Grand Canal with Birdo in 10 turns!
Tool-Assisted means I played the game frame-by-frame and used save states allowing me to redo certain parts of the game until each part was perfect. An example of this is creating a save state before I hit my dice, then reloading the save state over and over until I get the number I want, doing this allows me to pick which spaces I land on and also allows me to roll a triple 7 or triple 10 so I can get coins and move loads of spaces.
I pause the game often so I can manipulate RNG to control the luck of the game. This allows me to control what numbers the CPU players roll on their dice, what items we get and which minigames are selected.

This gets me more and more excited to see the final product of the MP6 900 some star run. I know it’ll be a 10+ hour video, which was already hell to get almost optimal, but still. Also, my requisite TRG reference…Tim, HIS WIFE!

She does that in several minigames. Watch her dodge her opponents' water guns in the 3v1, or wait several seconds before even starting to move in the haunted house, beating Peach by frames. She's a cute, but cocky, dino.

not possible because of the way star spaces work. Only a few pre-determined spaces can be star spaces, and the current star space gets "deactivated" when the star is bought and is not able to be selected again until all star spaces have been selected once.

I'd say a mixture of 160 is funnier than 130, couldn't be bothered/would be too long to manipulate that and future rng, specifically star spaces, and this is not specifically a max star run, just having fun stomping ai.

Nah, I tried for over 30 minutes to get a star from that. I think once you have a big lead the game won't give you a star.

Sorry for the delay in reply -@@BeastlyN64 - that makes sense to me. EX - on Windmillville once you have a huge lead it's almost impossible to get good coin block rolls. Awesome content and cool to see someone optimizing this game, it's my favorite.
