Spider-Man is the first 3D game to star the popular web-slinger. It is loosely based on Spider-Man: The Animated Series and Spider-Man Unlimited and features some of the voice cast from each and similar character designs.
Peter Parker is attending a demonstration of the reformed Dr. Otto Octavius's new invention when an imposter Spider-Man steals the device. Spider-Man must work to clear his name and uncover the sinister motives behind the device's theft.
Using various techniques, most prominently out of bounds clips, arandomgameTASer ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/a... ) swings on his webs and beats the game in record time.
This is a 01:57.33 improvement over the previous movie ( tasvideos.org/3265M ) thanks to improved optimization and new skips found since the previous TAS attempt.

No hating, but while the N64/PS1 game was good and Spider-Man 2 was great, the PS4 game perfected the formula :) For me, my favorite Spider-Man game is Shattered Dimensions. It was a Spider-Verse game... before there was a Spider-Verse ;)

Does the N64 speedrun differ from the PS1 game aside from load times and cutscenes?

A little bit. The N64 version has better framerate on average and this game is very framerate dependant for its behavior (on PC, the whole thing basically breaks if you go above 30 FPS but the intended framerate is more like 20). The geometry is a bit different in terms of which parts of the maps load/unload at which points which changes the out of bounds sections slightly. Oh, and I almost forgot, the webdome glitch used in this TAS is unique to the N64 version.

Don't forget to mention how the N64 version has the worst hit detection compared to the PS2/Dreamcast/PC versions.

3D models are more detailed geometry-wise, but the texture quality and sound detail get sacrificed in the process. Best example is Resident Evil 2 on the N64.
