Mega Man 2 is a game that hardly needs any introduction. This movie plays Rockman 2, the Japanese version, which is essentially Mega Man 2 in difficult mode.

Not _just_ showing off! It actually saves about 20 frames to end the fight up there because you have to wait for him to teleport off the top of the screen.

Press up+down or left+right simultaneously. You'll need an emulator or a TASBot or a super busted controller to do it

Lol jk. A zip is an exploit where you get inside the wall and the game tries to push you out. It can be exploited to gain speed or skip stuff--or both. Mega Man 2 famously has a lot of them. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/r5eWmMuiqL7WaYk.html Watch Heat Man (the second stage) in the any% TAS and you'll see

How'd you do it? Were you playing on Normal? This was the fastest way I found to mash in 20 shots.

Technically if you press right and left at the same time and shoot, the gear does not go anywhere, but that can only be done on emulator or a controller modificated, sorry for bad english, it isn´t my native language

Aldo's exactly right. Try pressing up/down on your keyboard if you have an emulator! I mostly did that for show, but it actually does save a bit of time in the Flash refight.
