There are also some silly frame losses, I could realize the first one already on the first screen when he walk a little bit back before entering the castle door. But there are also another ones in level 3. Almost perfect job. Very precise and creative, but it can be improved.

@@qinq2020 The game has an internal frame cycle that determines many things in the game like item drops, monster spawn patterns, etc. I can't say I'm 100% certain but I'm fairly sure there is not any frames lost by silly movement issues like you are mentioning. It is much more likely intentional game state manipulation. This is one of the most polished TAS in existence.

Stage 18: Uses a 36 frame first cycle (solid, closed cape timing varies at 16,24,36,50 frames) on Dracula for 9 pips of damage. 5 from boomerang hits (one extra from the candle by his head resetting the boomerang), 1 from whip, and 3 extra boomerang hits using the fireball projectiles to reset the cross to damage Dracula in rapid succession. Second cycle is 2 boomerang hits, 2 whip hits, and 3 extra damage from boomerang & fireballs. No crits needed. (!) The second form uses extra holy water throws and a III multi-shot to skip one of Simon's jump cycles. The holy water does additional damage when inside the top section of Dracula's demon. It helps make up some of the time lost from not critting Dracula on the first frame of his second teleportation cycle. Retains the crit at the end to end input early like some of the previous versions.

Slowed it down to 0.25x but still hard to see. Probably have to go frame by frame. So the fireballs reset the hit counter I presume?

If you Hit the Bat at the same Frame the bat hits you, cause a Glitch on game who runners call "Critical whip"

Wasnt just the bat, critical hits were done on all the bosses. It's just that all bosses except the bat have enough hit points to survive the hit. Since it's frame perfect it's pretty much impossible to do in a regular run except for the bat and Dracula's first form. As it currently stands beating the WR in this game would require a critical hit on one of the other bosses.

Humanly possible, Ouijawii pulled it off but didn't get world record because of 3-cycle Drac.

This TAS goes for top score when it doesn't lose time, hence all the sub-weapon multi-kill bonus points.

@@umbrellaxrd The backwards jumping and changing directions in air is, yes, cheating. Sorry. It's not even possible with a controller. There are exploits and glitches and then shit like that. Impossible inputs = cheats.
