This is a tool-assisted speedrun. The Frankenseed™ was built by stitching 15 different seeds together using Sashavol's Frozlunky mod. I then used Cheat Engine to slow down the gameplay and VMware to reload snapshots. Unfortunately, Spelunky automatically sets the end results timer to 99:99.000 if the time is under 1:30.000 on end, so there isn't a way to view the actual end game time. There is a workaround for this now but that would mean re-recording this. I may do it if i can find a faster Olmec method (which i actually have a couple ideas i might try out). You can see the final time via the Pro Hud before the final exit and I've added slowdown to the video to make it easier to see.
This isn't quite a typical TAS as the game has been modified to receive such a time. All of the stages were generated naturally by the game, but receiving a seed like this really isn't possible in game. The idea was, given the perfect seed how fast could Olmec be completed. I may consider doing a single seed any% run at some point if I find the time and motivation.
I had to do quite a bit of fiddling to record this properly and unfortunately ended up with some low-bitrate in game audio. I've implemented some of my favorite area tracks post recording so hopefully it's not too unpleasing to listen to. It's not the cleanest recording, but I hope you enjoy it anyways.
